"That's not God, but me, baby. Please forgive me, but daily I fight my demons. If it weren't for my belief in God, they would have consumed me decades ago."
Wide-eyed, I ask, "You fight demons?"
"Mhmm." Head tilted, he asks, "So you believe in demons but not God?"
"Well, I've met one of the world's so-called demons. And he's not anything like you or the bible portrays."
Now frowning, his eyes shut tight, he asks, "What do you mean you met one?"
"You won't understand."
"Please, trust me. I understand. That's what demons do. They make you think they're good when they're not."
