Then I felt it—sliding up my throat, slow and slimy—into my mouth.
I gagged, my mouth stretching open, wider than it should, and then it came out—a black, rope-like thing, wet and writhing, slipping past my lips.
Pain erupted from my guts, spreading all over my body.

The more I pulled, the more my veins tightened.
