The Golden Luna

The Golden Luna

“Don’t worry about it. So, I take it you’re in agreement?” I nodded. Like he said, it wouldn’t make me suddely capable of facing down wolves, but maybe I wouldn’t feel so vulnerable. “Yes. Thank you.” I said, consenting verbally and he nodded. “Good. How about we start at the courtyard at dawn tomorrow?” He said and I nodded eagerly. He smiled “Good.” His face turned solemn for a moment “I look forward to getting to see what you’re made of Cara. Don’t disappoint me.” He said, his voice taking on a strange, pertubing tone.

Shadow of Yesterday

Shadow of Yesterday

Jessica gathered the courage to speak but the doorbell snatched the opportunity away from her. The pizza had arrived. Adam sprang up to his feet to receive it. Stepping outside, Adam realized that the sun had taken its leave a while ago. The sky was pitch black. The time flew when they were being intimate with one another. Adam gave the pizza guy a generous tip and returned to Jessica with the boxes. She had finally picked a movie to watch. Adam grabbed a crate of beer from the fridge and they were set for the evening.

GOLDEN HEART

GOLDEN HEART

he said. "Don't worry about that. Um... so is tomorrow okay?" Alex asked. "Yes it is, make it 4 pm," he answered "Okay thanks," Alex said with a smile. "No problem," Mike answered. Alex disconnected the call and smiled widely. "So I want you to keep this flash for me. I know that walls have ears and eyes at my place." He said then pulled out a flash from his pocket and handed it to me. I stood up and went to him then got the flash from his hand.

My Future, Not My Past

My Future, Not My Past

Rhett was holding up a glass of juice, asking if she was thirsty. Me? Zane took my hand and led me onto the stage. Mr. Jordan took the microphone again. "Tonight isn't just a welcome home party for my son Zane." "It's also to officially introduce his fiancée—Freya Corleone, heiress of the family." "Save the date—eighth of next month. Drinks are on us." Thunderous applause. A wave of congratulations. From the food area came a sharp crash—a plate and a glass shattering at once, followed by a yelp as Daisy got splashed on the foot.

Gold Behind the Curtain

Gold Behind the Curtain

I swear I didn't take anything! I snatched my watch from his grasp and pointed to the bling. "Each one of these diamonds is worth 10 million bucks, Henry. You're in deep trouble." In the chaos of his panic, Henry blurted out something stupid in front of Rowena. "Ms. Smith, I'm begging you. Please help me. Jayden and Clara were an item for four years. They're still not over each other. "He's all wrong for you. If you choose me, I'll be loyal, I promise!"

The Borrowed Tomorrow

The Borrowed Tomorrow

The next morning, I woke up in the king-sized bed of my luxury hotel suite. The sunlight streaming through the window made for a beautiful scene. However, I knew Jeannie's day was definitely not going nearly as well. The side effects of the X-40 anti-rejection targeted drug usually began to appear within 24 hours of injection. Judging by the timing, Elliot should have been wishing he were dead by then. As expected, that was exactly what was happening. Back in the apartment that had once been our future home, Elliot was writhing in agony on the stifling bed. With the water and electricity cut off, the entire apartment felt like an oven. However, that was not even the worst part.

GOLDEN GIRL

GOLDEN GIRL

He chuckled and slowly nods his head, agreeing with me. "I'll try." I smiled at him and looked up at the sky, our hands still clasped together. As the cool night air wrapped around me, I found solace in the tranquil ambiance of the poolside. "Um," his voice broke the silence, gentle yet resolute, "tomorrow morning, we'll take you back to your hotel. Our work here is done anyway and besides, we don't want you guys to miss out on that big fashion show you guys came here to do."

Chasing the Golden Trinket

Chasing the Golden Trinket

This can’t be real. This is glamouring. Another ability, its purpose is to create illusions so real it could fool any on-lookers, but not keen observers. “Let me out of this glamour!” I shouted to the sky. Their master’s probably scrying over me on his mirrors or reflective stones. I let out a shaky breath. I need to get out of this soon, or else my mind will fall to the illusion. I closed my eyes and focused, trying to find the presence of familiar people to try and transport to their place.

World of Tomorrow

World of Tomorrow

“Tomorrow—.” “Tomorrow you’re having dinner with Mr. Melton.” Cursing under his breath, Andrew pressed her again, his voice ragged. “Then Lily can have dinner with you tomorrow night.” Evelyn shook her head, attempting to slide past him. “Andrew, let me go.” Shifting, he blocked her escape. “When’s the next event?” “July fourth.” Andrew gave a frustrated groan, let his head drop to rest his forehead dejectedly on her shoulder. “That’s absolutely not going to work for me.”

I've barely been able to put this story down. I absolutely love it. I love how descriptive the story is. And it has made me want to have been able to go to that World's Fair. It is a beautiful love story and I can't wait to finish it.

I am only to Chapter 22, but this book is Amazing so far and by far my favorite. I love historical fiction and this piece is a gem. I read the Author's book about Grace and Juliet and just had to jump right into this one as some characters are the same.
