Chris poured me a cup of tea and glanced at my phone screen with concern before speaking in a low voice, "Ms. Caldwell, I will make sure you get the justice you deserve."
I didn't answer him, instead asking, "I heard my father has introduced you to many high-society ladies and wants you to settle down. Why did you refuse?"
