Emory Mikey is always hungry. His stomach is a bottomless pit that never seems to be full, no matter how much he eats. Whatever food is within his vicinity, he runs toward it with relentless determination, and when he’s not allowed to eat when he’s hungry, he erupts into loud tantrums that don’t stop until he finally gets his way..

She stared at him, no response to his comment. "What do you want Mikey?" She asked, arching her perfectly plucked brows. He wished she would stop calling him that. He was seven-teen years old now. Not a little kid, which is when the nickname Mikey came up. Mike bit into an apple that he had in his right hand, smiling as he chewed. What he was about to tell Brooke would change her attitude quickly. It was something they both could be very happy about. Brooke waited impatiently for him to swallow, her pointy narrow nose wriggling in frustration.

Dan gave-up. I rolled my eyes at their dramatics, surely the guy couldn't be all that bad... could he? He could have grown up too. I mean, three years can make a serious difference. Maybe he'd surprise them all. "Hold on there little sis... did you say that the beast got dumped? I mean – I know he'd not as sexy as me but he still has an okayish personality." Mikey and I said in unison. "Sure" I brought popcorn and drinks in my room and got comfortable as Mikey put on a show. Almost thirty minutes later into the show. "I knew it, I knew the bitch was evil" Mikey screamed at my flatscreen, and the popcorn he was chewing flew out of his mouth. "Micah calm down" I stared at the chewed pieces on my rug and bed. Nothing more, nothing less. Giovanni's phone rang, pulling me out of my thoughts. "Hey, What's up?" I heard him say. He headed outside to continue his phone call. Minutes later Giovanni returned and turned to me "The boys found Mikey trying to run away with your stash." "What? He tried to steal from me!?" I yelled, my voice filled with anger. "Where is he?" I asked calmly. " He's at the warehouse," Giovanni replied. "Get the car ready "

Once I was settled, Mikey started running again. ‘Where are we going?’ I asked. If Mikey knew that there was a backpack there, it only means that he knew this place. ‘Somewhere safe,’ he replied but didn’t say anything more. Mikey continued to run for another thirty minutes or so before stopping in front of a very big tree. He lowered himself telling me that it was safe to get down. Once I was standing, Mikey took the backpack in his mouth and went behind the very big tree with a very big hole and when he was back he was in his human form. Wearing tattered faded jeans and a white v-neck t-shirt.

His body is a swarm of random tattoos and scars he wears with pride. Though none are on his face and glaringly obvious like mine. I instantly try to come up with a reason for being here right now, but I don’t have one. Then
