“Do I look like I’m kidding? Give me the mic and tape, and I will tape it on her.” Fine.” Mikey says as he opens the suitcase and pulls everything out. True to his word, Bryce tapes the mic to my chest and makes sure that no one sees me with my shirt open. Once my shirt is closed, Mikey walks around to make sure that you can’t see any traces of the mic. Then he steps close to me and speaks down into the mic. “Testing, can you hear me?” Mikey and I both have an earpiece in our ears. My hair covers mine, and I hear “good to go.”

I'm assuming that it's from his ex-girlfriend. I really want to know this annoying ex-girlfriend. I want to thank her for letting this amazing go because I'm going to claim him as mine. M.I.N.E I saw Leon notice that I'm here and he smiled at me. He gestured me to wait and I gave him a light nod. I grabbed a glass of wine and I saw a lot of paparazzi taking my pictures from the side. I smiled when Leon walked towards me. Slowly, I noticed that his smile faded and I wondered why.

Once I was settled, Mikey started running again. ‘Where are we going?’ I asked. If Mikey knew that there was a backpack there, it only means that he knew this place. ‘Somewhere safe,’ he replied but didn’t say anything more. Mikey continued to run for another thirty minutes or so before stopping in front of a very big tree. He lowered himself telling me that it was safe to get down. Once I was standing, Mikey took the backpack in his mouth and went behind the very big tree with a very big hole and when he was back he was in his human form. Wearing tattered faded jeans and a white v-neck t-shirt.

Mikey curses and looks around but I guess the coast is clear because he slips in and closes the door behind him, "I need you to make my face bleed somehow. Punch me hard." "What?" He asks, looking at me like I'm the biggest weirdo. Mikey is the slowest one, but he always does what I ask, "Fine, I guess..." He gets his fist ready and I brace myself, but right before he goes to punch me, he stops and grabs his rifle. "I think this is going to be easier," he says and takes it off the sling. I don't think he wants to shoot me, so I lift an eyebrow as I watch him turn it around to hit me with the back of it, "Bring your face closer."

Sharp teeth protruding over his lip, claws extending from his hands, and fur sprouting across his knuckles and jaw. I take this as my cue and pivot to the side elbowing the goon holding me and knocking his taser from his hands. We are severely outnumbered and part of me prays that Mike can unleash that same power he did when at Golden Circle. A full-blown fight for our lives breaks out as the goons rush us both. I punch another, swing my leg out, kicking out a knee. I see Mike in my peripheral vision grab the cattle prongs of two approaching men, pulling them towards him and flipping them over his head simultaneously. Their bodies fly through air crashing into the glass bar and shattering it

The fragile peace they’d been living in for the past week and a half felt like thin ice—beautiful on the surface, but ready to crack with one wrong step. “Yo, boss lady,” Mikey called from across the bay, his voice cracking with that awkward teenage enthusiasm. The nineteen-year-old prospect was sprawled dramatically across a workbench, pretending to fan himself with an oily rag. “If you keep making these bikes sound like angry demons, I’m gonna start thinking you sold your soul to the devil. Or worse—Reaper’s dick.”

Liv squealed as soon as she saw them. “Girl, get your ass over here, we’re starving,” Mikey ordered bossily. “Okay, guys, we’re sorry we’re late. But before we start, we wanna say something to everyone,” Audrey said as she glanced at Killian. “This better be good. I’m so hungry right now I could eat freaking Burger King,” Mikey crossed his arms sassily. Audrey rolled her eyes and ignored her friend. She turned her head to her dad and walked closer to him. Pulling Killian along with her.

Pollux shouted from the living room. "Fine! Just go!" She snarls, quickly changing keychains before rushing towards the door.
