Imogen This club/bar is really something else. We got picked up by the limo and a driver who calls himself Mikey Mike. Cute. Actually, he was such a sweetheart like a gentle giant with his bald head, gold hoop earring in his left ear and broad body but with the largest toothy grin you could possibly imagine. He held the door open for us and made sure Autumn and I were comfortable before driving off. Mikey Mike pointed out there was champagne on ice and some snacks if we fancied them.

The others nodded in agreement, and I couldn’t help but chuckle along with them. “Also, sorry we haven’t properly introduced ourselves yet, Eli,” Mikey said, his tone shifting to something more genuine. He smiled at me, and for the first time, I felt like I wasn’t just Zack’s little sister tagging along. I waved my hands in front of me, shaking my head. “It’s no big deal,” I said, smiling back at him. “Well, I’m Mikey, and that’s Austin,” he pointed to the guy who had kicked Zack, “and James,” he said, motioning toward the quieter boy standing beside him. James gave me a small nod, not much for words, it seemed.

Liv squealed as soon as she saw them. “Girl, get your ass over here, we’re starving,” Mikey ordered bossily. “Okay, guys, we’re sorry we’re late. But before we start, we wanna say something to everyone,” Audrey said as she glanced at Killian. “This better be good. I’m so hungry right now I could eat freaking Burger King,” Mikey crossed his arms sassily. Audrey rolled her eyes and ignored her friend. She turned her head to her dad and walked closer to him. Pulling Killian along with her.

I kept the postcard in my bag. I can't wait for him to have a sibling. I'm six months along yet again and up for a very long vacation. He is already looking forward to it. This time, we are waiting to be surprised. I'm hoping Linc didn't beat me to it. But if he did, I'll probably know before the little one comes along. Mikey scored a job at a mechanical company thanks to aunt Leanna trying to prove not all the Bancrofts are monsters. He lives in New York and is dating a sweet girl. I'm waiting for the wedding.

The football team fists bump Mikey and it’s so much I could do to try to squeeze my tiny, 160-centimeter frame through the horde of broad-shouldered lackeys surrounding him and Becca, the new ‘It’ couple, it seems. Mikey is a hammerhead football player who’s dumber than a box of screws but I guess Becca doesn’t like him for his philosophical views on things. He is ginormous compared to his teammates, with broad shoulders and arms thicker than my thighs. He's also really handsome, in that rugged manly-man type of way. Not my type but I can still see the appeal... if he doesn’t open his mouth that is.

I smiled. The spiked brown hair guy with the pierced ears was the next one to shake my hand. He told me his name was Mikey, again I stared at his perfect chiselled face, like why was all of Mitch's friends so hot? I already looked like Shrek compared to Cassie and Cherry, now I had to look like the Predator against these three stupidly hot people.

Mike playfully gave Justin a puppy-eyed look before he burst into guffaws and almost split his guts in a peal of boisterous laughter. “Get the fuck out of here! Dumb-ass!” Justin roared back. He was beyond flabbergasted that Mike was acting so silly and something he had never seen in his friend before. Justin left home before he finished junior high, he was not sure if something had happened to Mike within the years they had not seen each other and his friend might have turned into a closet queen or something despite his masculine physique!

I urged, tugging his arm impatiently and he glared at me. “Come on.” I skipped after him, whistling a happy tune as he led the way to the packhouse. It wasn't as elegant as Orion's but it was comfortable and gave off a homey feel when one came close to it. As we got close enough, I spotted Mikey standing in front of the gate and I ran towards him. He spotted me just then and started heading towards me as well. “Be careful so you don't trip.” Bryan warned but I didn't stop. Mikey and I met halfway and I embraced him, lifting him up in my arms.

The fragile peace they’d been living in for the past week and a half felt like thin ice—beautiful on the surface, but ready to crack with one wrong step. “Yo, boss lady,” Mikey called from across the bay, his voice cracking with that awkward teenage enthusiasm. The nineteen-year-old prospect was sprawled dramatically across a workbench, pretending to fan himself with an oily rag. “If you keep making these bikes sound like angry demons, I’m gonna start thinking you sold your soul to the devil. Or worse—Reaper’s dick.”
