Gabriella yelled. “What?” Jackie asked quickly. Gabriella pointed out into the crowd. Almost everyone in the bar looked to where she was pointing. Patty turned to see what Gabriella was pointing at. She gasped at the sight of Goldman staring at her like he’d never seen her before in his life. “Shit!” Benson slurred loudly. “I lost the goddamn pool!”

My palms were drenched in sweat by the time we'd entered. We passed several tables occupied by men in tailored suits or casual brand name wears and women dripping in diamonds, all of them turning to watch us with curious eyes. But again, Noir seemed oblivious or rather, used to their attention. His focus was entirely on navigating us through the space. We reached the far end of the exclusive club, where a large black leather booth dominated the corner. Jake takes a deep breath, releases my hand and pushes the door open further. My hand grow clammy with nerves and I follow Jake, taking in my surroundings. It's a dark room only lit up with a few bulbs hanging from the ceiling. In front of me is a large pool table and next to it was a small bar scattered with a few bottles of alochol on top. The walls are covered with graffiti, a language I don't recognise. I glanced to my left, noticing a set of leather seats pushed up against the wall. So it's basically a bachelor pad. . . Nothing too scary.

But we are determined to make the best out of this shitshow. As we pull up to the main building there is a sign with an arrow to the VIP party. I can not hear any music at all. We follow the arrows down the hall and there is a sign hanging that says. “The G Spot” and I am pausing to look around. I still don’t hear any music. I knock on the door and a slot opens. He sees us and nods as the heavy metal and obviously soundproof door opens. We step inside and instantly there is a temperature shift. The music is pumping loud. It’s like a literal underground club. As we enter there is a dancefloor. Next to it are about four or five hot tubs with people in them. Behind the hot tubs I can see a pool

“That’s our masseuse. He’s a flirt but changes boyfriends more often than I change underwear. The other guy is Purnell, he’s one of our trainers and is a full time fire fighter.” Pinky pushed open the door to the pool room. “We have four current pools and one lap pool, not Olympic size but we have two lanes. No diving in any of the pools, they are only four feet deep. Current pools can be set to different strengths and have a thirty minute timer. Locker rooms are over here.”

Trevor walks over to me in all his glory “so our gamma can kill a man in under 30 seconds but can’t play pool to save her life.” “Hey that’s not fair I can’t say I spend a lot of time in seedy places playing pool.” He laughs “well I do but that’s not the point there’s a pool table in the games room at the pack house didn’t you ever play a game of pool in there?”

I said, too focused on admiring him. He chuckled. “Do you know anything about pool?” I shook my head, forcing myself to concentrate. “No, not really.” He explained the rules to me, pointing out a few of the games going on around us. A guy at the table next to us nodded at Matt, and he returned the gesture. “Do you know a lot of people here?” I asked. Matt was bent over the pool table, arranging the balls into a triangular shape. “Some regulars, yeah. My friends and I come here a lot.”
