The sight before Lisa was both haunting and macabre. Two lifeless bodies lay sprawled on the forest floor, their contorted forms telling a tale of violence and death. The stench of decay hung heavily in the air, assaulting her senses and intensifying her feelings of horror and disgust. She approached cautiously, her steps hesitant, unwilling to disturb the grim tableau before her. The moon's feeble light cast eerie shadows, painting a ghastly portrait of the lifeless figures. He seemed unbothered by their otherworldly appearance. He reached to strip the girls of their clothing, but before he could touch them, his arm twisted unnaturally. The sound was sickening—a wet snap, followed by the crunch of bone grinding against itself. His scream tore through the air as the flesh of his arm withered. Their veins shriveled, skin darkened to a deathly gray, and his hand crumbled as if reduced to ash. He staggered back, clutching the remains of his limb, his knees buckling.

Creed felt disgusted just from the glimpse of their hideous appearance. The horde moved with no sense of direction or purpose. They kept crushing and stomping over one another mercilessly. The ground was swarming with mud, blood, and organs. Not only that, but some of them are also devouring and gorging on each other's flesh. An indiscriminate chaos was bubbling among the horde. "Argh! Crap… " Creed muttered with a disgusted squint, "Ghouls!! so many of them…"

His shirtless, muscular chest was the first thing I saw. After I managed to tear my eyes away from naked torso, I saw the blood on his face and arms. It was my blood. The sight was gruesome and it was hard to look at. I felt my heart begin to race and the neon green lead on the cardiogram that I was hooked up to begin to bounce up and down quickly, pinging its way loudly across the monitor beside me. His lavender eyes scanned me, observing both the saline drip and blood IV that I was hooked up too.

Jesse gasped as Marcus tugged off his shirt, revealing a scarred, muscular chest. “You’re lucky it’s the apocalypse,” Marcus muttered, leaning down to bite at Jesse’s collarbone. “Otherwise, I’d have high standards.” Jesse cackled, then moaned as hot lips traced a path down his chest. “Shut up, I bet this is the first time you’ve even touched another man.” “Nope.” Marcus scuffed, his tongue flicking over Jesse’s nipple. “Second.” Jesse’s eyebrows shot up in surprise, “Really, who was the first?”

Gore painted the floor with thick, splattered strokes. The third raised a silver blade, but I severed his leg and used it to knock two more onto the far table. Metal bent, flesh split, and screams were drowned out by snarls and snapping bones. I couldn’t stop even as they fled. Every time they moved, I was already there, ripping arms from sockets, hearts from chests, spraying the walls with blood and brain matter, my body moving as if it were designed for this.

The place smelt clean and fresh, but there was this echo of filth, and blood, and gore that came back to me and refused to go way. I closed my eyes for a moment, but realised my mistake instantly as all I could see and hear was the screams of Tamarak as he was being skinned alive, the gurgles of the man’s throat I cut, the plop, plop of body part falling down, and the warmth of the gore hitting my skin. I jerk uncontrollably, trying to wipe away the phantom filth off of me. I knew it wasn’t there, my brain knew, but it didn’t want to believe.

I’m momentarily in shock, and dare I say, rendered motionless with fear. What the fuck are these things? They look like altered Wilds yet the beast is as large as Lamia’s wolf. No fur, their skin a sickly grey color with horns on their head and smaller spiked horns on the back of their neck and tips of a split tail. The veins running through their body are visible and black, like vines trailing over stone. The eyes – are blood red and saliva drips from their jowls hitting the snow and sizzling on impact.
