Falling for the principal's son

Falling for the principal's son

Knowing her, she was probably arguing with a cashier or getting distracted by make up she absolutely didn’t need. A soft knock sounded at the door, so gentle I almost didn’t notice it through the noise. “Keep it down!” I yelled, dragging myself off the couch. “Okay, Grandma,” Clay teased, and they both burst into laughter. Absolute children. I rolled my eyes and opened the door. Adonis stood there. He looked… small. Not physically. No one that tall could look small…but emotionally. His shoulders were slightly hunched, and his expression was this mix of confusion and exhaustion, like a lost puppy trying to find his way home.

The Fall

The Fall

I didn't have a room. "Skylar!" Hearing his voice had my heart racing with fear, I walked down the stairs to meet him in the hallway. There was a door under the stairs, probably to the basement which is where they made me sleep last time. My step-father stood there with the door open. Suddenly he shoved me and I slipped, falling down each step. Rolo barked and growled at him, earning a kick for himself before he too got locked in the basement with me. I swear I heard him lock it with a key. There were three lights down here, they were fairly dim, the floor had been carpeted thankfully, a single mattress lay in one corner of the room no bedframe, a dog bed next to it with the dogs food and wa

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐙𝐨𝐧𝐞 The iron grate clattered shut above them with the sound echoing like a gunshot through the narrow brick shaft. Maya fell through the darkness, her stomach lurching as gravity briefly took hold, until her boots hit a layer of cold, stagnant water with a heavy splash.

Mafia Wolf's Human Luna

Mafia Wolf's Human Luna

With that, I redirect all my weight toward the broken section of the wall. Gravity takes hold, and before I know it, Alpha Salvatore and I are now heading toward the ground at high speed. “No!” Chiara yells, her voice getting more and more muffled the faster we approach the cold ground. “Alessio!” Alpha Salvatore tries to let go, but it’s too late. By the time I hit the ground, he’s already with me. And unlike me, he didn’t manage to reposition himself on his feet. He lands on his side, his bones cracking against the concrete.

Shadows of the Lost

Shadows of the Lost

As her blood dropped on the ground, it vanished, and off they went, into a never-ending fall. The twins, Anastasia, and Z, for the sake of compliance, screamed as the gravity pulled them down, down, down to the seemingly bottomless tunnel. By the time they’re acquainted with the ground, Sloane’s eardrums were numbed by the blending screams and pounding of the air. She glared at the four Wielders that were on all fours, wishing nothing but to inflict them a pain they would remember for the rest of their lives.

Probably the most challenging story I have written. With about 5 drafts and two years of crafting, it’s my longest work. It’s thrilling. I revisit it sometimes and, he, even I get overwhelmed and awed. I mean, it feels like I’m not the one who wrote it.

I love the world building of this novel! Even when you’re only in chapter one you can already see how the author meticulously planned the settings of the story. It’s descriptive so even if the world is new and unfamiliar the readers could still easily imagine what it’s like.

Wolf Moon

Wolf Moon

It's disorienting and I'm beginning to feel claustrophic when Graydon--only a few steps ahead of me--cries out as he slips, his arms flailing. race toward him and grab his arm just as he's about to tumble down a sludge-covered staircase. We have a few seconds to look at each other with relief before I lose my balance and we both go tumbling painfully down with a sickening thwack-thwack sound each time a head or arm or leg hits the hard surface.

The Awakening of Slave

The Awakening of Slave

If we didn’t go now, it would touch him. “Come on,” I said, motioning for Thistle to start descending. Thistle looked down and paused. But only for a moment. With a shaky foot, he started moving down the steep side of the ravine. The side of the ravine was loose stone. The stone slid under our feet. It was almost impossible to find our footing. Half way down, Thistle slipped. Thor caught him, hauling him up like he weighed nothing. “I’ve got you,” Thor said. Thistle clung to him, pale, shaking. I came down behind them, each foot careful. If I slipped, I’d cascade to the bottom. I knew I wouldn’t survive that fall. My breathing turned sharp.

365 Days With My Fake Husband

The descent was not a fall it was a controlled surrender. The emergency lift screamed as it dropped through the collapsing shaft, cables snapping above them like gunfire. Dust and debris rained down in choking waves, sparks flashing like dying stars in the dark. Jessica braced herself over Romeo, one arm around his shoulders, the other gripping the rail with white-knuckled desperation. Miguel stood planted beside her, jaw clenched, blood streaking his temple as he fought the violent sway of the lift. Claire crouched low, fingers pressed to the metal floor, whispering something under her breath prayer or memory, no and could tell.

CHASING HIS SUPERSTAR WIFE

CHASING HIS SUPERSTAR WIFE

The tension in the line snapped, but not completely. But just enough. Enough to throw everything off. My grip faltered. The support failed. And suddenly— I wasn’t moving forward anymore. I was falling. The world tilted violently as gravity took over, my body dropping faster than my mind could process. There was no time to react. No time to correct. No time to fix it. It was just an impact. And then everything went black. * * *
