Each of Adrian’s attacks was extremely fearsome. Bam! Bam! Bam! The 10,000 kg of gravity was no ordinary force. It crashed down on the Astral with immense power. He struggled to hold on, trying to resist being blasted down further. This force was far beyond anything he had expected. With each impact, the Astral’s expression grew more astonished.

Taking my stance I tried to jump with all of my power into my legs. Jumping with all my might my disappointment is immeasurable. You're kidding me, right!? I could only jump about ten inches! What a weird gravity. Don't call me a dumb if I didn't notice it earlier it's not like my body feels heavy but it more like something is pulling me downwards as soon I leave the ground. With careful precision, she shifted her body to try and bridge the gap between the bed and the wheelchair. But gravity was a cruel mistress, and her sense of balance betrayed her. Her hand slipped, and her body began to lurch. A sharp gasp slipped from her lips—a prelude to the inevitable. And then she fell. The sound of her collision with the floor—a harsh, unforgiving thud—shattered the stillness of the night.

The aspirin was useless. Not because it didn't function anymore, but because Vanessa found that she didn't need it after all. Her migraines died out after her talk with Jake and they did not return. When she woke in the morning, she grabbed her phone to see if Jake had texted her, while half-praying he hadn't texted her. But there was no message from an unknown number. She frowned, a little disappointed, and she did not understand why she felt disappointed. She sighed, dropped her phone and rolled out of bed.
