I grabbed 'Gravity Falls: Lost Legends' the day it came out, mostly just to spend more time in that world. The four main stories each have their own little casts, but the ones I kept thinking about afterwards were Mabel, Pacifica, Dipper, and that new one, Xyler and Craz? The first story 'Comix Up' is basically a buddy adventure for Dipper and Pacifica, which was a pairing I didn't know I needed. Their dynamic is fantastic—Dipper's frantic rule-following versus Pacifica's bored, rich-girl sarcasm. It adds a weird layer to her character that the show only hinted at.
Then you've got Mabel and Xyler and Craz in their own story, which is peak Mabel energy—chaotic, colorful, and deeply heartfelt in that uniquely Mabel way. The twins are obviously the core, but what makes the book special is how it lets side characters like Pacifica, and even Wendy and Soos in their smaller roles, step into the spotlight. It feels like a bonus episode in book form, giving closure to threads the show left dangling. I ended up liking Pacifica's development here more than I expected.
