Marlene said as they got out of the car. Ruby chuckled as they joined the club. It was exquisite, very busy, and loud as usual. As they went ahead to order drinks and let loose, Marlene’s eyes caught something she couldn’t look away from. A guy was cleaning the VIP section. In a janitor’s uniform that did nothing to hide his appealing looks, he was dark-skinned, with curly hair falling over his face in a sinful manner. His earrings and tattoos stood out even from afar. Immediately he turned, and Marlene looked away. “Fuck,” she cursed under her breath as she drank from her glass.

“I just don’t understand how a beautiful woman like you hasn’t snagged a gorgeous husband by now. It just doesn’t seem right, you have the body, the smarts and of course those sexy green eyes.” Lisa was your typical country girl, wore sundresses, never really put any make-up on and was a little round in the middle. She always said I looked like an exotic goddess because my eyes were such a bright green. I thought I looked like a normal everyday woman, but maybe I was wrong. I just glanced around and replied casually, “Maybe men don’t like sexy green eyes, maybe they like natural looking women like you Lisa.” There was a big burst of laughter from Lisa’s chest that echoed through the cafe’. “

Cocking her brow Sophia turned and felt a slight pinch. "Tada, this was embedded in your spine," Atlas mumbled sourly, holding up what looked like an acupuncture needle. "That was in me!" Sophia gasped. She watched Atlas crush the object into dust. "You are safe for now, miss transporter," Atlas teased. Rolling her eyes skyward, Sophia told him she didn't feel anyone insert it. "Why is a needle called a demon mark?" She asked curiously. "It is a demon mark for death and you were tagged like an animal to be taken to slaughter. Not all marks are made by the teeth," he mumbled with a shudder.

His ride dipped down so that Gavin could return the wave and share a smile with Nya before the dragon shot back up into the air, its wings flapping furiously to gain the proper height. One of the dragons, a large green one with no rider, fluttered down from the sky and came to rest not far away from where they were standing. He quickly transformed into a familiar form. Nya cringed. It was Gator. At least his clothing stayed with him, as it had with Slate and Flint, and he wasn’t standing there undressed. “Gator! It’s great to see you!” Flint said, running over to clasp hands with the trainer. “You as well,” Gator said. His eyes fell on Nya, and he grumbled something that might’ve been a gree

2000's Trigger Warning: Graphic Sexual Content Looking out the window of our new Dodge Neon, I notice all the little details as the world drifts by, I see little kids playing soccer at the local park. of course, they are playing with empty soda cans marking the goal lines. This doesn’t bother them. it's how it always has been. As kids growing up in poverty, we used what we have.

ashamed Genevieve managed to speak when coming back from the moment of shame. Genevieve felt so humiliated so she decided to take a day off and went home instead. The trees in the forest were malady brown. Genevieve crushed a thin dried branch of the tree under her feet. It caused a prolonged sharp grating sound, the leaves rustled in the trees on a breezy night. The decaying air and stifling atmosphere provided the perfect abode for those who worshipped the darkness rather than the light. The forest was soundly silent. It made the hair on her skin somewhat stand.

Ryan gulped down his saliva in fear. "Here is Timber's chamber, the demon that is responsible for destruction of all green life including plants and trees, he cause famine to happen in lands and he turns good lands to deserts. He hates anything related to green life, he prefers staying close to the desert, that is why his chamber is close to the desert. Terrifying right?" "Yes." Ryan nodded in fear.

"Nice to meet you." James didn't shake his hand. He looked at Eric and then back at me. "How do you know each other?" "Eric tutors Nova in science," I told him. "Eric, this is James Greenwood." Eric nodded politely. "Are you new to town?" James asked Eric. "Yes, I'm an environmentalist." "You're a tree hugger," James said, clearly trying to get a rise from Eric. "Yes," said Eric, unfazed by Jame's rudeness. "But really I work to study, conserve, and protect the Earth. Considering that it's a bit of an important planet."

And suddenly, I felt sickened by the selfishness of our little group… and by my own greed the most of all. Madam Dro’s face resembled that of a demon straight from the Depths. I felt certain she was about to snap, ready to leap forward and twist Ellie between her palms like some wet piece of filth. So I stepped forward as quickly and gracefully as I could, past Elodie and onto the very center of the carpet as Mylannes had done. These were only people. Not demons, not the Fae; just regular, fat, ordinary people, intent on getting a quick thrill before crawling back to their estates and their fortunes like they no doubt did at every part of their lives.
