Once Hayley made the jump, he followed without hesitation. The moment they landed, the rooftop door of the building they had just left was blown open. About five zombies burst through the metal door with guttural cries, staggering toward them. These zombies were not quite the same as the ones Hayley had seen outside. Their skin was not that sickly pale brown. It had a green tint, like they had been poisoned. On their corpse-like, greenish faces, pairs of gray-white eyes bulged grotesquely, the rims bloodshot, as if their eyeballs might drop out at any second.

"Well, she is a newly hired maid to take care of Miss Arielle. We had not planned on having both of you here " "miss? I am married and you are just some maid to serve me, I am Mrs Grey, and that applies to you as well" Gia's heart turned in anguish. She was nothing, she knew desperate women like her would not last amidst the schemes in the Grey home. She could only laugh inwardly at her cowardness if she thinks having the old lady backing her up is enough reason to suddenly become cocky and arrogant. The Grey family is so massive and so are its schemes. Elimination is always an option.

Grey’s tone was teasing, low enough to make her skin crawl—in a good way. That bastard had a way of speaking like every word was meant to undress her soul. She forced a smirk, pretending she didn’t notice how close he was. Soon, they reached the party. Grey’s car descended a spiral ramp underground, red lights flashing like the heartbeat of hell itself. Bass trembled through the walls. The engine’s purr faded as he parked, and Mira practically squealed beside her, “Holy fuck, do you hear that? That’s Inferno, the hottest underground spot on campus!”

"I'll rather take a walk." "How about this?" Lizzy gestured energetically. "We have a sit by that Riverside. It's cool right?,cos I'm not ready to take a walk on this stilettos!" Lizzy laughed referring to her 7 inch red heels as she dragged her friend towards the sit. "So how are you coping with Gray?" Lizzy asked with concern after they had scooped cups of ice cream on their chair She sighed heavily,staring deeply at the river across. "Same demon as usual." Her eyes dropped as she mentioned those words. "He's out on a business trip though,and probably be back in a week time."

She was quite different from all the other babies they've ever seen in their life. " Wow, this baby looks so strange." ,Lizzy expressed. " Very, very,strange – do you think she is cursed". Gina wondered. Lizzy nodded her head indifferently. Gisella lay quietly in her cot as she stare at them with her long brown/black hair. With a blue and green coloured eyes. She has a mark like the sun on her forehead.

Grey. Since Kira couldn't find their boss near the meeting room, she walked further to search again and bumped into Liz, one of the marketing division members. "Miss Kira, who are you looking for?" Liz asked as she saw Kira turning her head and looking around for something. "I'm looking for Mr. Grey. Have you seen him?" "I did. Mr. Grey went up the elevator in a hurry. He had a bleak expression," Liz explained, recalling that her call to their boss had been ignored.

I gestured to our slumbering sisters. Gia’s honey brown eyes swirled and changed to emerald green, a sign that her power was slipping. It happens a lot when she’s frustrated. Her long red hair falling in curls to her waist, the green of her peasant dress making her eyes stand out sharply. Taking deep breaths, she gained her composure, her eyes returning to their honey brown color. Like all pixies, she had wing tattoos on her back; hers were vivid, shades of greens, pinks and browns, the colours of the earth element she controlled.

Grey asked him, as he stood watching the horses through the picket fence. "For the Lady, I see," Zing said mischievously. Grey placed his hand on the picket fence as he focused his attention on the horses some of the pack members were trying to control. "She has grown fond of Cilantro," Grey simply explained. Zing grinned. "Or rather, you're getting fond of the Lady," he claimed emphatically.

"Anyone without a partner?" I awkwardly raised my hand. "Oh... then maybe you can go with that handsome boy there?" I looked at where he's pointing. Carter Gray. Carter is one of the typical gamers. He likes to keep a low profile and stay at home all day. But I heard that when he does go to parties, he gets super drunk and does a lot of crazy things. He has sandy blonde hair with brown ends. His dark brown eyes looked at me and grinned. Well he's... something. I awkwardly walk up to him. He gives me a warm smile as I sat beside him.

"They pulled a liter of fluid out of your pleural space. They said the cells they found weren't just inflamed. They were... changing. Crystallizing." "The Grey," I whispered. My voice was a ghost of itself, a raspy tear in the quiet room. "My body is turning into a monument to a pack that hates me. Funny, isn't it?" Silas finally looked at me. His amber eyes were flat, devoid of the pity I’d grown to loathe. "It’s inefficient. You’re no use to me as a corpse, Elara. We have a bridge to build and an empire to dismantle." He stood up and walked over, placing a thin, sleek laptop on my over-bed table. He didn't offer a hand to help me reach it. He knew I’d rather crawl across broken glass than
