We’ve worked together since ‘Neo human’ my first number one, was number one for weeks. And he’s always excited by what I’ve put out, but this time it’s different. He thought of Cassie’s smile, sly and knowing, and bile rose in his throat. He hated her. He hated himself more for trusting her. Rico broke the silence, his tone sharper now. “So, what’s the plan, Greg? You want a distraction, I can find men. But they’re not free. And you don’t exactly have pockets full of gold anymore.” Gregory smirked, a broken kind of humor slipping out. “I’ve still got blood to spill. Isn’t that the only currency that counts in this city?”
