Unfortunately, he came up empty. “I used both during the zombie capture,” Rex explained. “It will be dark soon,” Felix mused. “If we’re going to do something, we need to do it soon. Besides, I don’t like the way they seem to be slowly closing in on Kendra.” “I noticed that too,” Rex said. “Let’s leave the horses here and get closer while we figure out what to do.” They’d made it to the edge of the clearing when the three aliens rushed Kendra. Satria bellowed with pain as Kendra’s arrow entered her thigh, but she didn’t stop her charge. Instead, she reached down and pulled it out while still running.

Freya Rose Book Four ~ Heartbroken By A Hunter

Freya Rose Book Four ~ Heartbroken By A Hunter

Suddenly I had no control over my own body as it began to sway in time with his hand. “Oh, now this is going to be so much fun,” he said as he clicked his fingers and the world disappeared. I slipped in and out of consciousness, and each time I came too, I could hear chanting all around me. I screamed into the darkness as a sharp and penetrating pain overtook my body. My neck and shoulder felt like they were on fire, and I opened my eyes slightly and saw that I was covered in flames. But I had never felt pain from my flames before. I looked up and in front of me stood Gideon, but his face and arms were all chard and his hands glowed like lava. Cora held a small mirror in front of me and I co

Obviously the story line is good as I've read up to book 4. I must say I hate Freya a little bit at this point in time but who knows if that will change. Onto book 5. I wonder if that's where it ends for Freya?
Somerset Phillips
words cannot describe how amazing this author is !! I have remained glued to the stories and on the edge of my seat throughout. The books should be in a book store ! I truly hope someone finds these books and makes them into a move as that would be truly exceptional... eagerly awaiting the next book

Marked (Mortal, Book Four)

Marked (Mortal, Book Four)

Suddenly, I catch a glimpse of movement out of the corner of my eye, and I turn to see a figure emerging from the mist. It's Alec. Relief floods through me as I rush towards him, but as I get closer, I can see that something is wrong. His face is twisted in pain, his body shaking with convulsions. "Alec!" I shout, but he doesn't seem to hear me. He's lost in his own world of suffering, and I don't know how to help him. I'm about to reach out to him when suddenly the world around me begins to shake. The ground trembles beneath my feet, and the river rages with renewed intensity. I turn to see several wisps emerging from the mist, their glowing orange eyes fixed on me with a hungry gaze.

THE ALPHA'S FORBIDDEN MATE

THE ALPHA'S FORBIDDEN MATE

Distant shapes moving through the treeline. Wolves. Dozens of them. And at the front, a woman in crimson. Her red eyes glowed in the darkness. Ravenna. She'd brought an army. --- **End of Chapter 7**

The Black Wolf

My fingers gripped the quill against my will and scrawled across the glowing page: ‘Where is the next powerful pack from here?’ “The Zareth’s Brood,” I read aloud from the glowing page, my voice trembling slightly. “A rogue pack. They roam the cursed pine barrens of the North. Travel five nights beneath the northern stars, and you will arrive.” Xareth’s lips curled in satisfaction. “Good,” he said coldly. “Now give me the book.” I didn’t want to, but I had no choice. My fingers moved of their own accord, like a marionette dangling on invisible strings.

The Troll Queen's Bride

I said quietly. "You carry Death in you, and he is the Gallows," Jarnja said quite simply, giving Heith a knowing look. Heith opened a vellum book of hours and began reading a skaldic prayer to Mother Freida. But before her eyes met the page and she returned to her coffee, she winked at Gullinkambi, who had flew onto Grimnr's shoulders and was now preening Grimnr's mane. Grimnr gave a damp whuff and nuzzled my rooster fetch, and they seemed thick as thieves as Grimnr danced on his horseshoes and gave bright hoo-hoos.

BACK FROM THE DEAD: MY APOCALYPSE LEVEL-UP SYSTEM

Chapter 30: Consolidating Power The giant monster stepped through the broken metal gate. Its huge gray feet left black mud all over the concrete floor. The air inside the loading bay turned freezing cold smelling like blood and wet dirt. I crawled backward on the floor, my hands scraping against the ground, my eyes locked onto the creature's pale empty face. My breath came in sharp gasps that burned my throat. I could not move my leg at all. The pain felt like an iron rod was pinning me down.

The Alpha's Regret: Rising From The Ash

Chapter 41: The First Night The fire in the stone hearth crackled with a mocking warmth. It cast long and dancing shadows against the walls where the severed heads of beasts stared down at me with glass eyes. I sat in the heavy velvet armchair facing the door. My knuckles were white where I gripped the iron fire poker.

Chapter 9: The Price of Victory Night falls heavy and fast, the way it always does in the borderlands—like someone snuffed out the last candle and left only smoke. I’m inside the tent, hood down, studying the next chapter by that faint violet glow from my own fingertips when the first vibration hits the ground. Not the usual camp shuffle. Not footsteps. Something heavier. Coordinated. Many. I drop the book. Hood up. Slip to the flap and peer out.
