There was a man in tattered clothing trying to slip checks into a private hospital's paramedic's clothes, a horribly frozen corpse in a curled-up position, and my ledger notes scattered on the ground—notes in which I asked Mom and Dad to sell my organs for money. The officers quickly secured the scene and began checking everybody's identification as usual. "Alright, show me your ID! Who is the dead person here? And what do all these notes on the ground mean?"

It tries to send the memory through her knees, her hands, her throat. Maya lets it arrive. Then she steps left. The dead follow sound and motion. They do not think. They do not plan. They do not fake low and attack high. They are patient appetite in a ruined suit. “Behind?” she whispers. Clear within twenty feet, LUS says. “Lovely.” The dead man reaches. Maya lets him commit, shifts inside the arc, hooks her foot behind his ankle, and drives the crowbar hard into the side of his knee.

All of the bad guys fainted and they vanished in the air. We also saw the victim fainted too because of the wounds and blood that has been lost to his body.
