A Second Chance: My Twin Mates
My heart was wild, alive, free.
The path back seemed shorter than before, though it twisted between jagged rocks and tall grass but I leapt across rocks and trees as if it was nothing. The morning light spilled through the clouds, soft and golden. I could see tiny details now, the veins in leaves, the shimmer of dew on spiderwebs. Every sound carried clear: the chirp of distant birds, the rustle of pine needles, the steady rhythm of my own breathing.
The air tasted sweet.
I could still sense the twins somewhere inside, their energy bright, steady, intertwined like twin flames. They were planning something, I could feel it. A storm gathering quietly in the distance.
