I pushed up to my feet and stared at the monster in front of me. I clenched my fists together and stared at Grim, his grin had reduced and replaced with a snarl.

Instead, you would have been living a comfortable life in a nice country home.” I saw a flicker of doubt in his eyes, but that disappeared as soon as it came. He shrugged. “No point in lecturing me, Violet. I am beyond that zone. All I seek is revenge, and I know there's no better way to achieve it than by unleashing my pretty little wolf to kill you.” He stroked Emily’s fur again and shouted, “Attack!” With a deafening snarl, Emily attacked me, but before she could reach me, Billy launched himself at her. I shrieked and stumbled back. “Billyyyy!” I shouted. “Noooo!”

Suddenly, a bloodcurdling scream tore through the air. "That hurts! Let go! You're going to break it! It's going to snap!" Natalie twisted Billy's wrist into a painful knot before slamming his face into the glass table. "Hurts now, doesn't it? Was I speaking another language before?"
