Chapter 22: Solo Boss Fight The big black monster smashed into the concrete path with a loud crash that shook the whole wall beneath my feet. The concrete broke under its weight sending small gray rocks bouncing over the edge. Up Close, the monster was really scary. It was over nine feet tall with muscles that looked like wet leather in the dim morning light. It smelled like metal and rotting wood. It did not have hands; its long arms ended in thick curved bones that looked sharp enough to cut through a car engine. Its chest moved as it breathed, blowing a bad smell right into my face.

"While that King sleeps in his high tower? While the man who framed you drinks champagne? They are calling you a child-killer, Aurelia. They are cheering for your death." I closed my eyes, seeing Kaelen’s cold face as he turned his back on me. I felt the slap from the Luna again. I felt the silver chain hitting my chest. The sadness started to drain away, replaced by a heat so intense it felt like my blood was turning into lava. "They think I'm a monster," I whispered. "So be the monster they fear," the wolf tempted. “Give me your soul. Let me into the cracks they broke in you. I will give you the strength to tear their world apart. I pointed the gun at her. “Are you going to give us any trouble?” She shook her head. “Shrink your scythe and put it back into your pocket,” Griff said. The young reaper did as he asked.

I averted my eyes and looked at the sun. "They can do everything they want by the time they stop time." He added. "They are called monsters because of their ability. They can kill when time stops. Many are afraid of them so they are killed." He looked at me. "Gredator also has vampire blood. Blood of a strong vampire is needed to be a gredator." He said as he turned to look at me. I swallowed at what he said. "The other graders don't do anything to them but why do they want to kill all the graders?" I asked.

The reaper smiles back, leaning close as she could smell the fear all over his body as it gives her pure satisfaction. “Don’t you know?” asked with a puzzling tone, she giggles, waving her scythe as her blood-red shot eyes sparks and leaving him the idea that he is facing the monster he created. “You called for me, right?” reading his mind as his face surely shows the trembling fear he is trying to keep in containment. She smiles with satisfaction before answering. “I am as I am not.” Taking a deep breath in as he is finally able to take his resolve, he asks.

A stream of green metal shards spiraled from the ceiling constructing a large mantis like monolith coated with silver and teal colored steel. ‘Your freakin kidding me,” Adrian said.
