When Diana shouted, "We need to go out now!" In the distance, Elfar could make out a glittering gleam at the end of the tunnel, well beyond the trio of people who were likewise coated in blood and filth. It was the enchanted railway cart that was returning for them. The squeal of the train cart's brakes could be heard after a few seconds of silence. It came to a screeching halt just as the witch who drove back was about to pass the last wagon on their front.

Of course they would choose to ride the cable cars to get up the mountain. Hilda looked at the cable cars then looked at the stairs. She got on a cable car at the end. Standing in the cable car, she found it boring, feeling that they weren't sincere enough for this trip. But the scenery at the mountain top was really beautiful. The celestial mountain was surrounded by fog all year round and it loomed in the distance, obstructed by the rolling mist. When the cable car passed through the thick clouds, there was an illusion of them ascending to immortality.

"He'll be lucky if he doesn't pass out halfway up." I covered my mouth to hide a smile. Tang clearly had little patience for York's drama. We split into three cable cars for the ride up. I ended up with Zaria and Tang. As we floated above the treetops, Zaria squinted at the cable car behind us. "Hey... who's that following us?"

Andy’s POV: We walked through the snowy streets, I felt a chill running down my spine, it was freezing. Harris led me to a cable car station. The sight of the cable car suspended high above the ground made me a bit scared, and terrified! “I can’t do this!” I said, more like a whisper, he turned towards me. “I’m with you, trust me” he said, offering me his hand, I felt the butterflies dancing in my stomach as I held his hand. He walked inside, I hesitated for a moment, but followed him inside.

My heart was pounding too fast. When we reached the front of the line, the operator opened the door to a gondola. Flint climbed in first, then helped me up. The door closed. The wheel began to turn, lifting us slowly. I stared out the window, watching the fair get smaller below us. The lights looked pretty from up here, like stars scattered on the ground. "Beautiful, isn't it?" Flint said. "Yeah." "Lola, look at me." I turned to face him. He was sitting close. Too close.

And running through the center of it, gleaming like a silver snake, was the Mag-Lev rail line. "Do you see the train?" Saoirse shouted over the wind. Vane pulled a spyglass from his coat. He squinted with his good eye. "I see smoke!" Vane yelled. "Big smoke! It’s the heavy hauler! The Iron Behemoth!" Tristan opened his eyes. The violet light pouring from them was terrifying. "Perfect," he wheezed. "A big target for a big rock." "We have company!" Zephyr screamed from the prow.

The wheel groaned again as steel twisted against steel and another support snapped the entire structure leaned forward. "No!" Claire's POV The first scream reached me a heartbeat before I felt the gondola move and it wasn’t the gentle sway from earlier this was violent. The cabin jerked sharply to one side, throwing me against the safety bar. My handbag slid across the seat before crashing into the opposite side. I grabbed the rail with both hands and looked down. People were running everywhere. Some were pointing at the wheel and others were dragging loved ones away from it. I couldn't hear individual voices anymore.

"But if... I trigger... a localized burst... from the high-line sub-station... I can... shatter the ice-crust on the upper pulleys. Stand by..." High above them, inside the swirling grey of the clouds, a sharp, white flash of electrical energy lit up the mountain. A split second later, a deep, metallic boom echoed down the canyon as a two-ton empty ore car on the adjacent track broke free from its icy prison and began its rapid, gravity-driven descent. The main cable snapped taut with the sound of a whip. The Sky-Rail car lunged forward, accelerating up the incline as the descending car acted as a counterweight. The battery monitor stabilized, the power draw dropping back into the green.

He grinned, "The two of us and the sun are party enough.” Matt Wallber was becoming less a monster and more of a strange beast with sharp fangs by the minute. He led me up towards a shining metal tower that looked far newer than the cottage and opened the door to the cable car. A man waved from within the control room of the cable car. “Have you ever been here?” When would I have had time to take a random trip outside of Warhammer territory while being fucked into various mattresses? “No.” “We’re going to Looming Height,” he pointed to the other end of the cable line. “This car will take up halfway up, and we’ll have to climb the rest of the way.
