Ill Met By Moonlight

Ill Met By Moonlight

The driver of the bus honks impatiently, and a few children jump in fright and begin to giggle. Amy jumps over the little gate in front of her house, not bothering to unlatch the gate like every normal person. By the time she gets to the bus, it is half-filled with children and teenagers most of whom are wearing hoodies and jackets. The driver, a stout, red man rubs vigorously at his face with a kerchief, mopping up sweat from his red face while the children in the bus raise their chatter to a crescendo.

A Coincidental Mistake

A Coincidental Mistake

The only two friends that actually stood by me when my dad died. "Ok everyone it's time, start heading towards the buses." Adam says. Quickly everyone started walking out the front doors and into the front yard. They crowed around the buses waiting for instructions. Adams and James walked through the crowd of teens,"the last two buses are for all seventeen through nineteen year old's" Adams spoke up, pointing to his left. "and the front two are for Twenty and up" Adams continued, as he pointed to his right.

Bloodscript: Survival Game of the Reborn

Bloodscript: Survival Game of the Reborn

It floated, disembodied, and watched. The scene jumped. The same bus is emptier now. People slumped, bleeding. A sign over the windshield reading ROUND TWO COMPLETE. Jump. Same bus, different generation entirely. A man in a business suit stared at his hands like he couldn’t quite remember what they were for. Jump. Worlds.

replied the driver with only kind intent. “Mind your own business and just stop the vehicle already!” Hearing her cold yet resolute response, the driver had no choice but to obey. Once the bus stopped moving, the girl looked at the fat man before carrying her white box and getting off the vehicle. With his bag of biscuits in hand, the fat man then followed her down before saying, “Humph! Here I am! Where’s the three thousand dollars?” As the bus driver continued looking at the two of them, he was surprised to see the man in black—along with the two weak-looking men—getting off the bus as well.

It's a good book as far as I have read so far. I'm getting discouraged, though. I'm running out of patience and time for these types of stories. "Neverending" stories where some chapters repeat themselves for some reason or other drives me bunkers. Just saying. I prefer shorter stories.

Midnight Bus: Four Predators Onboard

Midnight Bus: Four Predators Onboard

I had never imagined they'd be this brazen, trying something like this right there on a bus. "This is a crime! Aren't you afraid the driver will see?" I shouted in a panic. However, the driver kept his eyes on the road and acted as if he heard nothing happening behind him. Wilson ran a hand along my leg, his face a picture of satisfaction. "Go ahead and scream," he said. "The driver's one of us. You can scream your lungs out, and no one's coming to save you." At that point, despair washed over me. My eyes filled with tears as I looked at them.

Runaway Heiress: The Billionaire’s Forgotten Bride

Runaway Heiress: The Billionaire’s Forgotten Bride

The memories looped, a silent, brutal film, until the bus finally hissed to a stop, shaking her from her trance. "Port Authority. End of the line. Everybody off." The other passengers filed out. Aurora remained, frozen. Where was she supposed to go? The bus driver, the one who had let her on, caught her eye in his mirror. He waited until the bus was empty, then killed the engine. The sudden silence was deafening. "This is it, kid," he said, not unkindly. Aurora stood, her legs shaking. She felt naked, exposed. "I... I don't..."

RUTHLESS TEMPTATION

RUTHLESS TEMPTATION

He didn’t notice how far the bus had gone until a voice snapped him back to reality. “Hey, kid.” Jace blinked and looked up. The bus driver was staring at him through the rearview mirror. “End of the line. Last stop.” Confused, Jace glanced around. The bus was empty. Completely empty. “You deaf? I said we’re done. Gotta get off now.” Jace grabbed his bag and stepped off the bus. The driver didn’t wait a second, just shut the doors and sped off into the distance, taillights vanishing into the dark like they couldn’t get away from him fast enough.

and both girls again laughed hysterically. The driver looked confused and couldn't seem to take his eyes off of Kristi, Rori had noticed how close he kept to her and she thought it was odd that Kristi didn't seem to notice or mind, “I mean sure the guy was good looking but he had to be in his late thirties” she thought, and although her and Kristi were both in their twenties Rori was curious as to what they would have in common besides a sexual relationship of course. Rori watched as the poor enrollment greeter frantically apologized to Kristi, the driver and Rori, then grabbed a walkie talkie and started to shout orders.//

House of Sighs

House of Sighs

NINETY-TWO The voice of the teenager dripped into Liz Frost’s mind, a splattering of acid. Somewhere inside, the wet nose of The Beast turned towards its host, ruffling leathery wings. She slammed the brakes. “You went straight past that stop,” called the older of the two girls in the same seat. “There’s a—” started the young man close to her. He held a book in the air. Liz could tell he was about to say “a guythere” because she could see him out there on the path in the rear-vision mirror, approaching the bus.

Don't Wake The White Wolf

Don't Wake The White Wolf

"Take off that posh uniform and you're just another bus-riding peasant like the rest of us. Stop acting so high and mighty." Their contempt didn't rattle me, but it ignited a cold, lethal fury in my chest. Just then, the driver slammed on the brakes to avoid a truck cutting him off. The bus jolted violently, sending everyone lurching forward. Taking advantage of the momentum, the leader lunged at me, his hands reaching out with the blatant intent to grope my chest.
