"Stand down, Torin!" From the upper ridge, a towering figure draped in the pure white fur of a mountain bear descended the stone steps. It was Chieftain Gunnar, the ruler of the Northern Border Clans. His silver-streaked beard caught the frost, and his eyes held the ancient, heavy wisdom of a seasoned warlord. He walked past his scouts, his gaze locked entirely onto King Ethan. "Ethan," Gunnar said, inclining his head a mere fraction of an inch. "You risk a bloody war by bringing armed elite guards across my monoliths without an invitation."

Avery POV It took Elder Novak quite a while to finally get the hall to settle down. It was obvious that everyone one hated the King of the north, or as he was called, the barbarian of the North. Alpha Kane was a greedy tyrant that suddenly began to attack and seize all surrounding packs until he completely claimed the whole northern region and declared himself king of the whole north. The north central was the only defense separating him from the rest of us, but he had now destroyed it too. There was nothing stopping him from attacking us now.

With the South King backing me, no one would dare challenge my authority.
