A wave of incredulity washed over me, laced with anger. I chucked my phone across the room. Anger weighed on my ribs, and I was incredulous. How had things gone to shit so fast? Wolf asked with a smile, "Asking because, we are four days past the payment due date now." Just as he said this one of the other guys who sat closest to the woman flinched badly. He was a middle aged man with a Gaia clan's emblem tattooed on his neck. He had dusky eyes and a chiseled face. His ears however had turned darker than red. He was scribbling something on paper during the conversation with brittle patience. However, the moment Wolf spoke. The pen between gus fingers cracked. His patience finally broke and he yelled. "YOU FUCKING IBICILE!" He gritted his teeth and yelled,

“We have to go back out there.” I nodded as I pulled myself together and focused on the moment. The greatest moment of my life had turned into a disaster within the matter of seconds. Then, I turned to Gargantuan. “What the hell was that?” He shrugged, enjoying my anger. “Don’t you ever pull anything like that again! I don’t give a shit who you are!” He bit his lower lip in an effort to conceal a cocky grin, obviously enjoying the reprimand a bit too much. “Yes, ma’am.”
