The Borrowed Tomorrow

The Borrowed Tomorrow

The ER has been short-staffed lately, and you'll cover there for a few days. I looked out the window at the darkening sky and allowed myself a faint smile. "Understood. I'll report tomorrow." After hanging up, I walked to the minibar and poured myself a glass of red wine. Elliot's immune system had already been completely destroyed. At most, he would survive until tonight before going into shock. Jeannie was about to experience the most desperate moment of her life. "Cheers." I raised my wine glass toward my reflection in the floor-to-ceiling window.

The Cobra of Smoke - The Burden of Sight

The Cobra of Smoke - The Burden of Sight

Just this, his lips on hers, the promise of their shared home, the quiet certainty of chosen love. The cobra statue watched from the shelf, amber eyes gleaming in the fading daylight. If smoke ever coiled from heating vents to form serpentine prophecies again, it would find Shantali Mae Cross, soon to be Chen, no longer searching for answers in ancient mysteries. She had found something far more valuable: the courage to embrace the unknown future with open arms, one ordinary day at a time, one extraordinary day at a time. Also, very soon, she would sit back down on their days off and work on her novel regarding the smoke cobra. Still, for now, that had to wait until have had time to move int

THE DON'S CAPTIVE MISTRESS

THE DON'S CAPTIVE MISTRESS

Soon, I changed into my night clothes and climbed into bed, trying to fall asleep. But I didn't because I was too excited. I reached for the book and opened it again. I started reading one page after another, and another. I didn't even care about the time until my eyes began to feel heavy. Tomorrow, my future would begin. Tomorrow, I would start. This was not the tomorrow like the other ten days when I told myself tomorrow I was going to get up, tomorrow I was going to walk out of the room. No. This tomorrow was a promise to myself.

Namira Zerouali
good story by the way but you take way too long to develop and upload chapters its getting a little boring after nearly 300 chapters we still dont know if he loves her or not and why he's protecting her and from who too ,and of course one chapters per day is very diabolical and irritating thank you

I love the book…and the storyline. It’s almost rage baiting readers how painstakingly slow you are with uploading chapters. Moreover, you only upload 1 per day. I don’t know if this is deliberate but you discourage readers from reading your other books. We still need to know WHY Axel cares about her

A Promise He Never Kept

A Promise He Never Kept

I took a deep breath, forcing myself to calm down. Just 24 hours ago, we had been curled up in his apartment, watching a romance movie. We had even made love until midnight. Yet now… I let out a bitter laugh, removed his name from my pinned chats, and typed a single word, "Okay." ... I locked myself in my room that night. Not long after, my parents came home. "Atharia's a thousand miles away," Mom said carefully, watching me. "Once you move there, it'll be hard to come back."

THE BILLIONAIRE HIDDEN SIN

THE BILLIONAIRE HIDDEN SIN

The particular kind that survives not because circumstances warrant it, but simply because it refuses to die. As full darkness settled over the city and the street below grew quiet, I closed the notebook and held it against my chest for a moment. I didn't know what tomorrow would bring. I didn't know how long *temporary* would last, or what I would find on the other side of this particular unraveling. But tonight, I was here. Alone in a room I had chosen. Breathing air that felt, for the first time in longer than I could remember, like my own.

burn between us

burn between us

He looked at the Atlantic, visible from where they stood, the October Atlantic doing its patient, structural, clear self. "The ending is the morning," he said. "The third novel ends with a morning. The character wakes up. Makes coffee. Goes to the garden." He paused. "The same morning as every morning. Nothing different. Nothing special. Just — the morning. The ordinary morning that is the whole thing." "The same as the second novel's ending," Dante said. "And different," Elian said. "The second novel ended with the character knowing that this is enough. The third novel ends with the character knowing that this is — permanent. Not in the sense of unchanging. In the sense of — chosen. Deliber

Single Life Survival Level Up: Anti-Skinny Revenge

Single Life Survival Level Up: Anti-Skinny Revenge

Lia yelled, pulling forcefully on Bima's arm. Bima turned for one last look at the hole, catching sight of a cookbook that had fallen open to a page with handwriting he recognized all too well. His own handwriting from the future. The page bore a single sentence, "Never stop cooking, even when this world no longer has fire." Then, at the end of the collapsing crystal corridor, a massive black shadow began to crawl upward, carrying an aroma even sharper than ozone, the scent of burnt meat that had already been served.

Owned for the Alpha's pleasure

Owned for the Alpha's pleasure

"Just this. Whatever this becomes when it does not have to exist in the middle of everything trying to end it." She closed her eyes, feeling the full weight of what tomorrow would set in motion, and underneath the weight of it, the particular warmth of a future that had not existed six weeks ago when a carriage smelled of leather and cheap cologne and iron gates had opened in front of her like the end of one life. They had turned out to be the beginning of another. Tomorrow they will finish earning it.
