The Deadly Obsession
My fingers closed and froze, and the world went away from me.
I looked at Alessia’s face, her mouth open with fear, her lips saying my name in a soft voice.
“Alessia.” I tried to say, and a soft sound came from my lips.
The pain stopped, going away into nothing, pulling me down.
I closed my eyes, the sound of Alessia’s scream the last thing I heard as all went black.
Pain brought me back.
Smoke hurt my eyes, the bad smell of burned rubber and fuel around me as I opened my eyes, pushing the smoke away. Glass was everywhere, cutting my hands as I tried to sit up, not caring how my head hurt with each move.
