Guts Casca Novels & Stories

Squatting in front of her, she lets her guise off, and the woman turned to Luna Helga. "Huh!" Cassie gasps sharply, seeing another stranger squatting in front of her. She stares directly into her dangerous brown eyes that have an invisible fire burning in them, her pointed nose compliments her beauty, her smooth skin is everything beautiful, and her thick black hair is so long and straight. The aura around her is dark and intimidating, but she doesn't feel scared about this woman like she was with the first one, but instead, she feels something drawing her to this one, she feels her heart warming up to her and for some unknown crazy reason, she feels like she has seen this face before, but s

Oliver looked a lot like our mom too but I take after my dad. I let the tears fall off my face and I wanted to reach out to her but I couldn't I couldn't touch her I couldn't let her touch me so I reverted back to the window. "I know you're in there. I know you are there; you have to fight for me, Cassi. Please fight for me and come back; I need you. We need you" Her words hurt. I'm not in here anymore I don't know where the Casey they knew is anymore. Probably still in Africa. Maybe she died when her brother and bestfriend did.

Her presence is ruining it. "Cas!" she yells again. "Enough!" I grind my teeth, my arms shaking, and look back down to the man. He's stopped moving, dead from blood loss. Snapping his neck won't do anything now. Damn. What a waste. Mariam takes a few steps forward with her hands held out. She licks her lips nervously. "Let him go, Cas," she says slowly. "He's dead. Come on, honey. Come down from that mountain. Follow me down here, please?"

Only to find each other and kill the villain, our friend. When we returned back to Cassia, I could see she was in her element. She moved between Ivan and the counter where her instruments were all laid out. She had a tube inserted in Ivan's chest and liquid flowed from it to a bucket on the floor. Margot was squeamish after turning her head in towards my chest to avoid watching. As we all filed into her space, she redirected Eira and Margot to the beds in the back.

Augustus gave him a pointed stare and Casey shrugged. "I want to try something." Casey muttered under his breath. "Whatever it is, please, be careful," Augustus advised. "Nora is waiting at the stairwell, we have to go." Casey nodded and searched around the large room for a bag to place the bottle of acid in. When he found a jute sack, he shook his head in wonderment. "This is an ancient room. I've never seen a jute sack my whole life." "You're a new generation Werewolf, it's expected. Let's go."

Not when her enthusiasm had pulled me back from the brink more than once. We flew privately that evening, courtesy of Andrew's final gesture of respect for a man whom he claimed was not his ex but rather his "aesthetically gifted asset handler." Cassie sat across from me, peering at her laptop as she scrolled through satellite images of the metro vault. She was intently focused. Her fingers rushed across the keyboard. Her face was illuminated only by the faint light, revealing the shape of her jawline, the lines of her cheeks, and the thin scar below her lip, which she claimed to have gotten in a fencing match, although she had actually fallen during seventh grade.

The third time I bring the bottle to my lips, I swallow deeply, letting my mind relax. When I was in the military, a witch stabbed me with a cursed silver knife. She carved out my eye, then broke the tip of the knife off in my liver. Turns out, it was Kas’s sister Leticia in disguise. Kas used her magic to reconstruct my eye and to take cursed silver out of my liver, but it was just a trick to earn my trust. As soon as she had a chance, she turned around and stole the shards from the safe. Who the fuck knows what she did with it?

Beside her, Jace’s voice was a low growl in her ear. “Found something. The payment trail loops through three shells, but there’s a signature I’ve seen before. Old school. Brutal.” Elena’s breath stilled. “Who?” Static crackled a second before he said it. “Cassian Vargo.” The name hit her like a strike to the gut. Elena sat back, the chair creaking under her, pulse pounding. “No. That’s...” “Yeah,” Jace cut in, grim. “That Cassian. Roman’s monster. The one he can’t be in the same room with without the walls bleeding.”

The screen loaded for a second before it was filled with three familiar faces. Mica, looking smug as ever, her dark curls bouncing as she adjusted her camera. Cassie, already grinning like a gremlin. And Gladz, already rolling her eyes, clearly questioning why she answered the call in the first place. Can’t blame her. I feel the same. Cassie gasped dramatically, clutching her chest. [“Oh my God, Mica! You’re alive? I thought you got kidnapped and sold off or something. It’s been two weeks!”]

But now, faced with Jessica’s piercing gaze and her own mounting confusion, she felt that control slipping. “I don’t know,” she finally admitted, her voice barely audible. “I don’t know anything anymore.” Jessica gave her knee a reassuring squeeze. “Then start with what you do know. What does your gut tell you about Antonio? About all this chaos?” Cassandra closed her eyes, searching for clarity amidst the turmoil. But all she found was a lingering sense of uncertainty—and a small, nagging voice she couldn’t ignore. “My gut isn’t telling me to kill Antonio,” she whispered.
