I’ve been working for Beta Trevor for three years. Over that time, I’ve created spells and potions to keep his daughter, Gwen, out of trouble and keep his Alpha, Alpha Carter, unaware of what his daughter is really doing. Beta Trevor wants her to be the next Beta and if his Alpha knew what a conniving, manipulative, abusive person she was, he’d either demote her or more likely, he’d banish her from their pack.

In the early morning sun, Elaine could still see Andrew's grin as he left her in the shadows of the night. “You idiot,” The knight murmured, fingering the bright gold letters of the book, thinking she should have let him kiss her for what he’d done. Both so frustrating and yet the salvation of her people, “You wonderful idiot.” Elaine took a seat in the wooden chair, her hand opening the age-old book. Eyes scanned the countless names and gifts of fire, ice, and even wind. Some could speak into minds, and those who were so powerful they could bring down kingdoms or even end the 200’s year war.

I believe this would enough information for you to get what you want.” I nodded slowly. “Thank you.” She looked down at Lysandra with sorrow. “She used to be proud. Fierce. Like her mother. She used to be willing to fight, to stand. She is not weak. I know what I raised. And I know who I raised.”

It reminded her of Polen. Her lips curled. “Marewyn.” He paused. Then a corner of his mouth lifted and his gaze softened as he tasted her name on his lips. “Marewyn.” He stepped closer. “Baryns do not own dragons. Dragons are not owned, they choose who become their masters.” “And you were chosen?” “As much as you were. You do not believe me but I have my dragon in my mother’s homeland. And this secret which you now know was the cause of her death.”

Maitta replied. "I see." Gwen muttered. "What do you like to watch then?". Maitta inquired. "I watch movies like high school musical, Hannah Montana, Frozen and others." Gwen answered. "Merlin is an adult movie." "Daddy likes it." Maitta said. Gwen walked over to the bed and stopped in front of her. "Listen to me, I don't like you at all." Gwen informed her. "And just because you're his real daughter doesn't mean you'll take my father away from me with your miss perfect attitude."

His energy wasn’t his anymore — twisted, sharp, mixed with something that wasn’t wolf. And then, behind him, the mist tore apart. A figure stepped through. Gwen. She was alive. Pale hair, torn cloak, eyes colder than I remembered. She carried a crystal in her hand — black, dripping faint light that looked like blood. Serena tensed. “What is that?” “Don’t let her use it,” Logan said, voice straining. He dropped to one knee, holding his chest. “It’s from the Veil— it’s—”

We’ve always acted and treated each other as if we were one big family. When Leana arrives, we both go to Rich’s office. I’m a bit surprised to find it locked, but I have a key and I let us in. Rich tells us his plan, to interrogate Gwen and have Leana tell us if she’s lying. She, like our mother, have always had that ability. It’s one of their Guardian gifts. When he interrogates her, we finally find out the truth. Gwen is not Rich’s mate, Emlyn is. Gwen used a witch to cast a spell to make Rich think that Gwen was his mate and to forget his love for Emlyn. Any time Rich looks at Gwen, the spell is cast, making him forget his feelings for Emlyn.
