It's an Elite gym, so there's an indoor bathroom to clean up before going home, but she's not interested tonight. She wiped her sweat, threw on her waterproof jacket and hung her headphones around her neck, getting her bag and phone.

I put on my gym clothes and grab my gym bag before heading back to the lobby. I own a small bike that I use to get around locally. I got on my bike and once I arrived at my gym, the lobby had a man behind the counter that I have never seen before. I locked my bike and walked into the lobby. "Where is Pak?" I asked and the man looked up before he said, "Welcome! Oh, Pak? Yes. He no longer works here. This morning he fell asleep and dropped a cigarette on the wrestling mats. It caused a small fire that caused him to lose his job."

The gym was deserted as no one came in there so early which is why he took her at this hour. The gym gave a very dark vibe as the walls were not properly painted. The cement was chipping off from them and everything was basically black. The metal training equipments were void of any damages and almost new. “You punch like a girl!” Jay commented holding the kickboxing bag in his hands. Mayra raised one of her brows staring sternly at the man in front of her. “Because I am!” Mayra replied kicking Jay on his legs and taking advantage of the shock to punch him on his stomach.

He just wished that Dalmi didn’t visit that place while he wasn’t around. “Mr. Thompson! You are here!” a man with a bulky body approached him with a wide smile. Jake, his instructor, went towards him and gave him a fist bump. “Hey, it’s been a while. I wonder if my membership is still valid for today?” he asked and roamed his eyes in the gym. The huge, mirrored room was filled with gym equipment and some people inside. There are both men and women inside, some are doing Zumba at the far end of the room, while some are doing individual exercises on the treadmills and some are lifting weights with their instructors.

Carter had conveniently forgotten and then created the whole mess Jack was currently dealing with. “Right, so, you need to fix this,” Carter said when Jack didn’t answer. Gate is the biggest launch of the year and is going to be on every single gamer’s Christmas list. We need to be at that launch, Jack, and I don’t care what you have to do to make it happen.”

Wondering what to do next because going out wasn't an option right now, I remembered—the gym. I’d been shown it during the tour, but it barely registered at the time. I figured it wouldn’t hurt to kill time and shake off some of this restless energy and get rid of a little weight, maybe. I ended the call and prayed to God she would change her mind. Since it was Saturday, I went to the gym at Osmium, where all the staff had access to it. It was pretty cool with complete equipment. I found Kye starting up already. “Hey.” I didn’t even recognize my own voice. It sounded gloomy and lifeless. “I’ll pretend you’re not around.” Kye worked on the dumbbell. As I sat up, toweling off my face, I realized that despite the complexity of the situation, it had ignited a spark in me that I hadn’t felt in a long time. Finally exhausted from the intensity of my workout, I stepped out of the gym, my muscles feeling satisfactorily fatigued, a testament to the effort I had put in. The underground gym was dimly lit, the air thick with sweat, blood, and raw aggression. This wasn’t some fancy fitness center with overpriced protein shakes and personal trainers. This was a cage. A place where men came to fight, to break themselves down and build themselves back up again. Dylan was already warming up by the time I arrived, rolling his shoulders as he eyed me.
