Hachiko: A Dogs Story Novels & Stories

At this moment, Rion met all the alters within him simultaneously for the first time. In the rich darkness of the infinite void, his five alters were surrounding him, some standing and some sitting. In front of him was the figure of little Rion. The child sat silently while fiddling with his fingers. It was Bee. Nearby, there was a puppy rolling over. It was Hachi, the puppy. Hachi was actually the puppy of one of the guard dogs. From behind the window of his isolated room, little Rion often watched Hachi play, wishing he could play like the dog. He really wanted to play freely, but he never got that chance.

the voice says, gratitude and relief evident in every syllable. We turn to find a young woman with short black hair and glasses approaching us. Her appearance is casual yet stylish, beach shorts and a blue tank top giving her an air of relaxed charm. The Pekingese dog in William's arms seems to recognize her, wagging its tail excitedly, before leaping out and circling around her leg. "I'm so sorry about that," she says, her foreign accent lending a unique cadence to her words. "My dog, Mochi, tends to run off without warning. Thank you for saving him."

"So, you can call me Flora Mana from now on, maybe I shouldn't use Daisy Garcia from the beginning." After that, I get up and leave his office. At the sight of Chico in the cage at home, I then feel the meaning of keeping pet. Holding it in my arms. I ask it, "Will you company me if I go for travelling in the future? Maybe it's a high snow mountain, and sled for me then, ok?" The husky is originally a sled dog, so perhaps it is just more deserving of surviving in the snow. While I'm speaking, Chico is listening to me with open ears, it barks then as if it's answering me.

He says, pointing at the name, “Then we will either get a hotel room or continue our search tonight. She couldn’t have gotten too far, and don’t worry- I packed your kennel.” I hang my head in shame. When I am taken on assignments, they bring a large dog crate, but it’s electrified. I tried to escape once and now I will live with the consequences for the rest of my life. He points to the car, and I walk to the door, getting back in. I look at the red wagon as we drive past it and wonder what Maddie is like today. Is she strong? Kind? Did she know we were coming? A fire truck races past us and my handler chuckles, “Poor kids.” He scoffs.

“What’s its name?” “Aki,” I said. “He’s a Havanese. He found Toby first.” The woman got down to her knees and reached out to stroke Aki’s head. “Thank you for finding Toby.” Aki stuck out his tongue and wagged his tail. He looked damn pleased. When she stood again, she said, “I’m Sakura. What’s your name?” Sakura? As in the Japanese Sakura? As in cherry blossom Sakura? I must admit the name fit her perfectly.

He honked forcefully, and a dog stood defiantly in front of his car, refusing to move elsewhere. "Damn dog, damn road, damn eerie place." He cursed softly, then continued honking. He honestly didn't know why he had come to this place. Was he crazy or stupid? But speaking of it, no matter how much anger he held inside, he didn't want to return at this moment. And the dog slowly approached his car, wagging its tail, stopping momentarily, then assuming a strange posture. Tom Hulce widened his eyes, unable to believe what he was seeing. The dog's tail lifted, then a golden-brown something dropped; it was...

Sentry, Rania, and Clive had the same questioning expressions. "That's the master's Acala mark. It's the projected image of Acala he summoned," Walter explained to them while staring at the lively husky. He was exasperated as he could not figure out why Chase would project the image of a dog. It was more normal to project a dragon, phoenix, or even a tiger. If Chase wanted a similar animal, a wolf would be a better choice than a husky. Although, to be fair, a husky did look very similar to a wolf.

"I... I have them. If you don't believe her, I can—" "No!" Tracey screamed, lunging to stop him, but it was too late. The sharp click of the car unlocking sealed her fate. I threw open the trunk. The stench hit me first. Then I saw it—a small, lifeless dog, its body limp and decaying. Puffy. Peter stumbled back, his face white as a sheet. "Tracey... Puffy... why is... why is Puffy here?" The live stream exploded. Comments poured in, furious and relentless:

We walked out of the dungeon and he locked the door, then we went down the hall to the other side, which was more like an animal shelter, where we locked away animals that had gone berserk. “Helen’s owner had asked that she be killed to put her out of her sorrow,” Hark said as he stood in front of a cage. A white furred dog was in there– I couldn’t tell the breed, but it was huge and it kept snapping and growling at it. I nodded at Hark, waiting for how he wanted to use this dog to prove his point. He opened the food and placed it inside the cage for the dog to eat. It rushed it instantly and Hark barely saved his arm.

I looked him up and down, expecting something to start making sense. “Yeah,” he smiled with a beaming grin that tried filling the world with nothing but joy, “Nok explained it all to me so you’re good. It’s nice to finally have another dog.” “Nok explained it did he?” what semblance of hope I had faded. Was he wanting to get rid of me now? I knew he didn’t want anyone to know we were kin, but this seemed like an extreme measure and he was meant to keep the truth about me secret. How many more were going to be brought in?”
