Claiming Mr. Mafia [ Book 2 ]

Claiming Mr. Mafia [ Book 2 ]

Too bad for those girls who gave her bad remarks; she'll know about them soon. Sherly nodded gratefully, falling into step beside Lary as they made their way through the maze-like corridors of the mafia headquarters. If Sherly does not have the blueprint layout of the headquarters, she might be unable to memorize everything. "Wow, Miss Sherly, why don't I feel like you're confused?" Lary asked with confusion and excitement in her eyes. How could she say it? Lary did not know about her being a Scorpio, so how could she tell him that she memorized the blueprint of the building? Even the hidden doors—did she know about them?

Claiming Mr. Mafia [ Book 1 ]

"I want to hear what she has to say." Mr. Park nodded in understanding, already moving to make the necessary arrangements. As he left the office, Hideous couldn't shake the feeling of unease that had settled over him. Whatever Marie Arnold had to say, he knew that it could change everything. Hideous sat back in his chair, his thoughts drifting to his children. When he first held Kyle in his arms, he was so happy. He couldn't be happier. Even though his and Lilia's marriage is only for a paper and name, this won't change the fact that he wanted a child. Despite his powerful position as a senator, he always considered himself a father first and foremost. His children were his pride and joy, an

A Ruling Passion: Mr Tremont's Priceless Little Bride

A Ruling Passion: Mr Tremont's Priceless Little Bride

Arianne had never doubted Mary’s intention so she obediently carried her book upstairs. “Sure. It’s dark here, be careful when you guys remove the lights.” Mary grinned in delight. Mark hardly came back early. She would not allow Arianne to waste this opportunity. When Mark returned to the room, he sat in front of the French window, flipping through a book. The books that he read were different from Arianne’s. They were all in a foreign language. Arianne was not good in foreign languages, and she would have a headache when she thought about deciphering them.

So this isn’t really a book it is a Kdrama in print form. It never ends really. I like it but I dislike the way every sexual interaction between Mark and Arianne is described as marital rape. It really is ok for a wife to enjoy sex with her husband and the author could reflect that in their writing.

“I can’t do it.” She didn’t look pleased with my response. “Can’t is a hard word, Ms Adams. Would you rather take the book auctioning?” She raised the two books in her hand. Professor Lawrence, a professor of literature at the university, had published them. These were the two works he had worked on in the last three years, and I know this because Daniel told me. I, however, didn’t know how bidding worked. I frowned. “I’m a professor in medicine. I am not an auctioneer, Mrs Martha Yila.” I knew Martha didn’t really like me, but doing this told me she might just hate me more than I thought.

I'm finally giving a book 5 stars. the reason is that the story is absolutely amazing! it's so captivating, and I literally fall asleep reading it because I don't want to put it down. there are several grammatical errors, but it does not take away from the book. Harvard to stanford? not good though

So far this is one of the best books I’ve read on this app, the writer is so wonderfully involved welcoming ideas and comments. Which in my opinion shows how much she appreciates her readers. The amount of descriptiveness, information and detail really helps you visualize what your reading. Thanx!!

The Mark

The Mark

Though the more terrifying thought- perhaps I was just doing better? It had been a while since I had been to a club myself. Perhaps I could do this with three birds and one stone instead. Perhaps I could get my d*ck wet while also being lectured and getting my questions answered. I found myself growing eager for tonight's events. While I wasn't exactly looking forward to my brother scolding me. I was looking forward to finding a hot new mark. I like to think of my conquests as marks. Similar to a hitman. I find the person I want, then make them want to come with me. I've never been denied once. I have fame and good looks to thank for that. I know I probably come off as being vain, but in act

- I responded back, burying my thoughts deep. My face flushed realizing that he had been able to pick up these X-Rated thoughts so easily since I had been so deep into it. The book hadn't helped at all to keep my mind on my task for the day. It had been the equivalent of "See Spot Run" in the Draygonian world. Nerrian rolled his eyes and closed the book. He set it off to the side on a pile of books that never quite made it back to his shelves. I don't think this will work today. Nerrian admitted shaking his head.

Explaining the situation that had transpired. Asked to take a seat, the only open one was next to Nikolias. So she sat there next to him. Smiling to himself, Nikolias pushed his book towards her. She had yet to get one, so it was only wise for him to share at this time. “Mr. Wickman is strict, but you’ll be okay. The office has the AP Science books, we will get you one at lunch.” He whispered lightly, only loud enough for her to hear. Nodding the girl smiled gently.

Raven's MC Series; Marlowe & Torin -Book One of the series

An erosion of restraint. Storm pressure. You feel it in your bones before the sky changes. When it hits, he’s going to need anchors. Not chains. Chains make men fight. Anchors hold them steady without making a spectacle of it. People who don’t flinch when the edges show. People who don’t confuse darkness with damnation. Marlowe was one of those anchors. Whether he liked that or not.

The Law And The Liar

The Law And The Liar

I didn’t sleep. Not because Raffaele Moretti was sitting in my living room, legs stretched out like he owned the place—or maybe like he was trying not to look too ready to kill someone. And not because I had just learned that Marcus Vento, my brother’s old partner, was framing Raffaele to distract from his own sins. No, I didn’t sleep because the whole world felt like it had tilted. The law—the thing I built my life on—suddenly felt like a crooked ladder. And the only hand reaching out to pull me up belonged to a man who probably broke more laws before breakfast than I had in my whole career.

Frequently Asked Questions

I still flip back to the corner of my bookshelf where a dog-eared copy sits and grin — Mark Manson's catalog feels like a weird best-friend mixtape of blunt advice, pop psychology and oddly comforting swears. The major, easy-to-find books are 'The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck: A Counterintuitive Approach to Living a Good Life' and its follow-up, 'Everything Is F*cked: A Book About Hope'. Those two are the backbone of his mainstream fame: the first one taught a lot of people how to pick their values and stop stressing over minutiae, the second digs into why hope and meaning get messy in modern life.

Before those hits, he wrote 'Models: Attract Women Through Honesty', which is more direct-dating-advice territory but honestly reads like a personal-growth primer for getting comfortable with rejection and authenticity. He also self-published shorter works and essays (early e-books and guides), and some pieces circulated under titles like 'Love Is Not Enough' back in his blog-and-e-book days. Besides the books, there are companion materials — like the journal tied to 'The Subtle Art...' — and a massive archive of long-form essays on his site that feel like mini-books in themselves.

If you want a clean reading order: I’d start with 'Models' if you’re interested in dating and social confidence, then move to 'The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck' for broader life philosophy, and read 'Everything Is F*cked' when you’re ready for the darker, more philosophical follow-up. I still catch myself rereading passages on the bus or under a lamp at night; his style is somehow both comforting and infuriating in a good way.
