She began crying and begging, "Bryan, you wouldn't just let me die, right? We've been together for so long. If I die, who's going to take care of Alex?"
I let out a cold laugh, amazed she had the gall to say those words.
One clear-minded person in the gallery responded on my behalf, "Hazel, do you not understand? Alex is your son, not his. Your son is nothing but a backstabbing ingrate."
Alex's face flushed red, and he didn't dare say a word.
Seeing that begging me was useless, Hazel searched the gallery for her former lovers, hoping one of them would speak up for her.
