If I don't show him what I'm capable of, he'll make your life miserable, even after you marry him!" Annoyed, Hailey retorted, "Can you stop making things worse? Do you really think Simon's scared of a lawsuit? If this escalates, he might turn around and sue us for stalking! By the way, Austin didn't sell us out, did he?"

Or has she chosen to forget me. It was already dark, and I lay down on my bed, lost in thought until my door creaked slowly open, revealing Hailey . She was wearing a lace-through crop top with blue denim shorts, looking like a goddess rocking her outfit. Her hair was braided down in pigtails, giving her the appearance of the all-American girl next door. She slowly closed the door with her left hand. On her right hand, a paper plate covered with a paper towel concealed whatever was in the plate. She pinned the locks to the door as she slid her finger between her lips, signaling me to keep quiet as she sat down at the edge of my bed.

I stood in front of the broken mirror in the bedroom that doubled as... well, everything except for a kitchen, and gently combed my hair. The nail mark was still on my cheek, my hair was pulled out in places, and my eyes were swollen from crying myself to sleep. But I am still Hailey Blake Wright, the same girl who went to school the next day after my mother died. I can do this. I will not falter for a man. I pushed my hair into a simple ponytail and stepped back. Clean jeans, a white top, my bag, perfect.

Hailey grumbled, coming into the kitchen. “You were supposed to help us out,” I say, looking at her. She sighed. “I’m tired; Rosie is glued on my hips all day,” she says, showing me the vomit on her clothes. I laughed. Hailey is a 19-year-old and is in her first year in college studying business, and on the side she is also a model. She’s quite famous, and I am happy to see her grow. She is a reflection of me; the only difference is she’s happy and rich. While I was her age, I was suffering. Anyways, we are all proud of our model superstar.

She explains. I honestly didn’t give the camera a second thought after I realized that I forgot it at the barn. Sweat dripped down her forehead, and she wiped it away, taking in deep breath to calm her nerves. The door to the gym swung open suddenly, and Hailey rushed in, breathless and wide-eyed, looking like she had just witnessed a disaster. “Melissa!” Hailey gasped, struggling to catch her breath. “You’re not going to believe this.” Melissa paused mid-stretch, her eyes narrowing at the sight of her assistant. “What is it, Hailey?” “I—I just found out.” Hailey took a deep breath; her face paled with anxiety. “It’s Kaitlyn... she’s the new face of Eminence’s special edition.”

Hagia said. “I’m flattered,” Austin replied, his expression turning shy. “Oh, right. This is Alexi Mauren, Hagia’s sister,” Darwis introduced Alexi to Austin. “You’ve never met, have you?” Then he looked at Alexi. “And this is Austin Stanley, Hagia’s fiancé.” Alexi pressed her lips together tightly. What? Fiancé? I slept with my sister’s fiancé? So his name is Austin. She swallowed hard. Austin nodded briefly, acknowledging Darwis’s words. His gaze was cold, like a block of ice. He looked away, avoiding Alexi’s eyes. Memories from some time ago flashed through his mind. Even so, the bandage on Alexi’s head did not escape his curiosity.

Gina said while frowning. "Well you are right, but I think something happened overnight that called for our attention.” Madam Lydia said and extended her hand. “Here it is for you to read.” Quickly Alexis and Gina scrambled togetherto read thenewspaper content. Butnothing prepared them for what they found out, in that front page was Alexis name andpicture, she was branded as a criminal for her attempted murder of the biggest celebrity in town, Mrs Linda Lake.
