Zara was dressed as Cinderella and we both took the initiative and dressed like the evil step-sister. Children in colourful costumes, supervised by adults had started coming out of the houses. One of the girls who was in a witch costume smiled at the three of them. “Nice mask,” she said to Jill. “It looks like a second skin.”
