Aurora’s P.O.V Lucas's voice rose in a low, guttural chant, each word curling in the air like tendrils of dark energy, wrapping themselves around the room. Then Harmona joined him, her voice softer but no less potent. She lifted the colander high, and the thick crimson liquid sloshed within it, reflecting the dim light with an ominous sheen. With heavy breathing and horrifying joy in its eyes, the ghoul stood over her. "No!" Lila cried, preparing to throw herself at the creature. Her vision blurred, and the world around her started to spin. The ghoul's claws were inches from her face when suddenly, a roar echoed through the trees. A dark shadow flew past Hailey, colliding with the ghoul. The hit caused the beast to fall backward. Hailey blinked, attempting to zero in on the jumble of action before her.

Chris eyed me suspiciously, “ I've been out for only a few weeks but everything here's changed. You're glowing inside out, buddy.” While I parted my lips to speak, I frowned when some chaotic noise was heard from the entrance of the pack house. I pushed my chair backwards, taking slight steps towards the entrance, but I was stunned to see Halo. She was in a disheveled state and there was dried blood on her clothes. My throat ran dry as she collapsed on the ground, “Get the pack doctor here!”

Enzo, Dante, Matteo, and our men had surrounded the dock from every possible angle. High ground, blind spots, and Hidden vantage points. I cracked my neck and shifted my weight. ". He pointed to the door. Zol turned around to the door but before he could exit, "It’s you being a newbie. Lets see when the thirst and craving for blood burns you inside. And then it would be only me you can count on. Not on your mates". He spatted in anger and left. Callum fell down as soon as Zol left the place. POV: GUS The sky is still dark when the anchor cracks. I see it before I hear anything. A thin, sharp column of fractured light shoots up from the east tree line behind Arachne’s property, silent, wrong, like lightning that forgot to make thunder. It splits the air for half a second, then collapses inward on itself like a dying star. I smile. “Status,” I say calmly into the comms. Static. Breathing. Then Jensen’s voice, tight but steady. “Charge placed and triggered. Anchor fractured, not destroyed. We are pulling back. No engagement.”

Her blood was red. The gold was all gone. The soldier rolled into the room. He was breathing hard. He grabbed a piece of metal. He stabbed Vane in her glowing eye. "Use the leftover liquid! The tank! There is liquid in the cracks of the glass!" June ran to the tank where her father had been. The glass was in pieces.. In the bottom there was a small puddle of blue and gold liquid.

The raw, high-pitched whine of the Gulfstream’s twin engines vibrated through the soles of my bare feet, a physical current shaking the concrete floor of the hangar deck. The air was a toxic haze of pulverized concrete dust, ozone, and the sharp, hot stench of spilled fuel.
