We moved in a deathly silence, escorted by four warriors from the first division, until we reached the heavy bronze door of the medical wing. The door was ajar. As we stepped inside, the chaos hit us immediately. The mystical crystal flasks were shattered on the floor, and in the center of the room, beside the altar holding the reserves, Hunter stood holding his bloodied sword. His armor was dented, and his yellow eyes burned with rabid madness. Beside him, Chloe laughed hysterically as she poured a vial of Dead Lands poison over the main conduit leading to the Heart of the Moon tower.

Explode. The canyon echoed with the rhythmic, deafening destruction of the ancient vanguard obliterating the front ranks of the nightmare. The valley floor was quickly covered in a thick layer of crushed gray gravel, the remnants of a hundred feral entities erased from existence in a matter of minutes. A mile back, standing on a high, safe ledge overlooking the carnage, the leader of the blood-born watched the slaughter.

They fight with vengeance, with hatred. Howls split into the air, the forest drowns out the whimpers. The ground swallows the blood that spills. Teeth tear into skin, claws rip apart flesh.Wolves zip past, paws pounding the sand. We hunt, chase, kill. It’s chaos, and it’s madness. From the corner of my eye, Macy shields a young Delta with her body, snarling, while Rio takes down two rogues at once. The chorus of our pack’s howls spurs me forward, refusing to let anyone fall. Then, I focus on the rogue I’m chasing.

I hoped to play the hero–or heroin. Blood painted the stone walls of the fortress, they smelt like fresh blood. Before me in a long hallway was a huge door with few lifeless men littering the door entrance. My heart thuds as I make my brave steps towards the door. What's behind the door could be the dreadful one who slayed the men I met on the way. Also the one who might be keeping Emmett captive, because for what I know, he was immortal.

"It's an old dry well. Come with me, Mr. Lloyd. I'll take you there." Ten minutes later, the team geared up and returned to the ruins once again. This time, with Tora guiding them, they no longer wandered aimlessly. He led them straight to an ancient well. It was so deep that they could not see the bottom. The opening was wide enough for a grown man to descend without issue. Tora pointed down into the dark, and he seemed terrified as he said, "This is where I saw a Blood Ghoul crawl out. Mr. Lloyd, when they're not active, Blood Ghouls retreat to underground lairs—places soaked in dark, heavy energy.

Tongues and heads started flying in the area, squirting more and more blood everywhere. The ghouls in his path got diced into minced meat. The elusive starry orbit was active like both a buried and chopper. With each step he was dicing at least 30 ghouls reaping their souls like a merciless god of death. By the time, all other hunters had already reached the top most edge of the cliff. They all have been gazing down the valley with their hearts beating inside their throats. It was impossible to not notice the mind numbing havoc unfolding in the center of the ghoul army.

The ruins of the western wing of the estate still smoldered, the air thick with smoke, ash, and the coppery scent of blood. Silver fire had scorched the marble floors, and the echoes of collapsing drones reverberated through the skeletal remains of what had once been the heart of Stain Globals headquarters.

/“I know, I just... I got excited. I wanted to see.” Her expression softens and she lets out a huff. /“I understand, but you must be cautious. Start with once a day, then gradually increase to twice. But no more than that for now.”/ I take a deep breath, absorbing her words. /“Okay, Halo. I’ll be more careful next time, I promise.”/ She nods, her image flickering. /“Try it now, but just for a moment.”/ Taking a deep breath, I focus on Halo’s eyes, allowing the world to shift into its inverted state. But just as the cabin comes into view, I see Ruin stepping out of the bathroom, a towel slung around his waist.

Just shadows, no body—no human flesh. Harold's broad eyes shifted again to the blood in the bowl. As he did, an invisible, floating frame rammed into his stomach, pushed all the air in him out through his lungs and sent him sprawling on the quiescent ground, almost off the elevated plain and into the reddish-black goo which encompassed him.

​The Arctic Vault, once a silent tomb of Miller Vane’s secrets, now vibrated with a frequency that felt like the heartbeat of a god. The pulse-wave from the golden ship, the "Ancestry-Pulse", had bypassed the lead-quartz shielding as if it were nothing more than rice paper. Outside, the red fog of the Blood-Gate was being burned away, replaced by a blinding, oppressive gold that turned the Arctic sky into a sea of liquid fire.
