Chris was suddenly sweating so furiously but Ariel was cool and her face was blank and devoid of any emotions. They stood there watching six tombs open and six scary-looking ghosts walked out. Isabella was already whitish in appearance knowing who they are. Chris's hairs were all up and his eyes green, his normal sight nature. "GREETINGS TO THE SPECIAL ONE." One of them muttered. It is clear from what can be seen on the screen that, the stranger was attempting to rescue them from the basement in some way. At first glance, Hannah seemed to be opposed to it; nevertheless, Louis was seen chatting to her about it. Hannah was picked up off the ground and placed on the stranger's shoulder in the space of a single blink of an eye, after which the two of them emerged from the basement.

The ghost doesn’t say anything but I’m sure it knows we’re in the house. “AHHHHHHHH.” I scream and run downstairs. “There, there, there’s a go-goghost!” I say trying to get my words out. “A ghost, see I told you this place is haunted. So much for not believing in ghosts, am I right Carol? Don’t want to humiliate you in front of your husband. But here’s the part I’ll say. I told you so!” Hannah says. Jack hugs me so tight. His hugs are so soft and gentle, I feel so protected by him.

Hannah's gaze dropped again to her lips which were now moving but she could barely hear a thing. She blinked and when the hand that was on her shoulder gently shook her, sending shivers down her spine. "Are you okay?" the young girl's voice resonated in Hannah's ear and she found herself swooning and her legs turning to jelly O as if she was seconds away from combusting at the sound of someone's voice. ------

Out of all the unnerving things that could happen in a haunted house, the most unnerving thing is silence, and that was exactly what Joe came home to a few hours later. The garden was quiet, and no sounds from the whippers, no chainsaws, and there was no one on the porch. Everything was just silent. A minibus stopped close behind him and the doors opened cautiously. Joe looked around him and then he felt a presence close by. “Are these the volunteers?” it asked.

The little girl hugged herself tightly, shrinking herself into a small ball. She heard the woman's footsteps moving away. Hannah stood up, groping to go out. The basement was very large, filled with a strong musty smell. A cold aura spread throughout her body, and Hannah couldn't help but shiver. "It's so cold, Daddy, why haven't you come to find me yet?" Hannah was about to cry. Usually with Daddy by her side, she didn't feel scared, but today she felt so scared. She groped for something in front of her with her little hand.

No sounds come from her open mouth, and the movie luckily rises in volume, drowning out our whispers. "When?" she finally asks. "Right before he took my underwear. Hannah... he touched me. While I was driving." My cheeks heat up as I confess, and Hannah grips my arm, her expression caught between shock and excitement. Her lips press tightly together to hold back a scream. I’m thanking everything that she keeps so quiet. More popcorn hits the blanket. Her eye twitches. Her nostrils widen. "You alive?" I ask, scanning her face. She nods but stays silent. The shock and panic are still evident on her face.
