Harley Quinn X Deadshot Novels & Stories

His soul, visible to the Shadow Knight's transformed vision, tore free from its flesh housing and dissipated like smoke. Silence fell over the clearing. Twenty-seven dead in fewer minutes. Not a battle: an execution. An exercise in applied power. Serena emerged from the tree line, picking her way delicately between corpses. "Efficient if excessive. You could have questioned them longer." "I learned what I needed." The Shadow Knight studied his work dispassionately. The artist in him (was that new or had it always existed?) appreciated the patterns of death. The knight he'd been would have been horrified. That man was less than memory now.

********* Amidst the shadows that envelop the barnhouse, Marco De Luca arrives with an air of authority, determined to extinguish the supposed threat posed by Daren. His steps echo with a lethal rhythm, resonating the impending confrontation. "Where is he?" Marco's voice cuts through the tense silence as he addresses one of his goons, his gaze piercing the room. "He's tied in that corner," Vinny replies, pointing towards an ominous darkness. “Guardia bene," Marco commands, a subtle flick of his fingers. Vinny, a close ally in Marco's trusted circle, stations two tough guys outside the barn, ready to guard against any unexpected trouble.

Harley can’t keep his head up, the sudden weight of realisation weakening his muscles. Because he still belongs to Ronan. “I love you with my whole soul, Ronan. I always will,” says Harley, sobbing. The hitman doesn’t answer. There is only the echo of desperate cries bouncing off the walls, and the faint sound of a gun trembling in a hand that is not supposed to hesitate. “Call me sunshine?” “I love you too, Sunshine.” Ronan pulls the trigger. . . Then they set him on her knowing that she won't be able to kill him, now they were going to make her watch the death of her Beloved. Hell, they'd probably throw her to Jake afterwards, that's if Vanessa didn't take the honours. Finally, her gaze met Cassius'. He looked so sad, so defeated. His jaw was tight from the pain, but he kept quiet not giving them the pleasure of agonized screams. His chest was bleeding profusely and she could see a bit of smoke rising from where the silver was lodged in his chest. She hoped that it wasn't a jellybean that Brad had used. If it was then Brad wouldn't have long to finish him off before the silver hit his heart anyway and killed him.

“Who else is left?” She smiled wider. “More than you can handle. And they already have people inside your precious new council. People who smiled at your wedding announcement today.” Leo’s blood ran cold. He pressed the barrel harder. “Names. Now.” Before she could answer, a final gunshot rang out from the darkness. The woman jerked once and slumped dead in Leo’s grip — shot by one of her own remaining loyalists from across the warehouse. That gunman was dropped instantly by Kai. Silence fell.

All she can hope is for Troy to be safe. “We’re nearly in control of Hawkins Group,” Ryder says. “We can’t let Hector suspect our real plan but we can’t let him be free. One more deal and we’re ready to go.” The others nod. They are ready to go all in. Scarlett is determined to bring down the Hawkins family. They’ve murdered her parents and she can’t forgive them for it. Any lingering affection she had for them is gone, replaced with repulsion and hatred. “Let’s do this,” she says.

This was the first time he had shown any interest in a woman and wanted to take her with him. He had never expected that the very same woman would cruelly drive a knife into his chest. "You had a death wish. You can't blame me for fulfilling it." Quinn had never considered herself a kind or righteous person. Women like that would never survive in Mostovia. Those who survived weren't nice people at all. Since Xavier had taken her virginity from her, she took his life from him. A fair exchange was no robbery. She then walked out of the private room, got a hold of Lee, and drove off in Xavier's Rolls-Royce Cullinan.

Now seeing the muscular and tattooed guys striding towards us I connect the dots and conclude, Quinn was talking to one of them. He moves and reaches for the shotgun door and opens it ushering me outside. I step out and the rain mercilessly pounds on me. "Just go, please," Quinn begs as his eyes hold a queer emotion. The fact he said please is enough to for me to know there's more to this. I take some steps forward before turning to give Quinn a last glance. The three guys are already boarding his Lamborghini, but not before the one at the shotgun shoots me a long glare. He has dreadlocks and an eyebrow ring. I shudder at his scary eyes. Quinn, what are you involved in?

So fast that when I blinked my eyes again, Suzy was still laughing like a maniac in front of us and there weren't any gunshots on her. “Oh my god, Hunter! Hailey!” It was only when Carolina shouted that I realized why. When I looked down at Hailey, blood was gushing from her stomach. Suzy had shot my mate instead of herself. Her maniacal laugh rang in my ears. “Silver bullet, my King. Did you really think I’d let anyone else have you?” Out of nowhere, Oberon and another group of royal guards appeared and ceased them. It turns out Carolina was able to mindlink them, thank fuck, but oh god, my Hailey was still bleeding.

I'd lost nearly a year of my life, making me wonder what else I had missed. "Chase?" I asked, the burning question on my mind. I was dreading his answer, not sure what to expect. "Dead. Along with Blade." Damian replied. "How?" I asked. Damian began to explain everything. Including Scarlett the Harlott's involvement with all of it. I was surprised to find out that she was one of the reasons the Cobras kept coming after me. Including her involvement when we had gone to France. I just couldn't believe someone could ever be that spiteful or vindictive.
