I looked around, at the fluid that was being passed through my veins, at the heavily-antiseptic smelling room. His gaze hardened at my question, and his jaw twitched, as he threw his head to the side. “You were poisoned, Mi Cara,” he gritted through his teeth, “right under my nose.” “And look,” he rose to his feet then, gesturing to the center of the room, “we have the perpetrator.” I gasped as my eyes fell upon the brown-haired, young-looking man with a yakuza-type tattoo on his neck, noticing him for the first time since the lights came on, and my eyes adjusted.

The blow was too strong that Venom did not even react to the approach of Samel, and he only came back to his senses after feeling the tightening hand on his neck that lifted him up from the ground. “Poison. Where is the antidote to the poison you injected on her?” The chilling voice sent shivers down Venom’s back, and his body instinctively trembled from the fear as his able hand took out the jar with the purple striped bee that is sleeping on a small lump of leaf and flowers with a golden dew-like pearl next to it.

Just a horrible choking sound. Then I felt it. My skin. Something was happening to my skin. Through the haze of pain, I lifted my hand. Watched in horror as black lines spread across my fingers. My palm. My wrist. The veins under my skin turned dark like ink spreading through water. "Wolf Venom," someone said. A healer. "She's been poisoned with Wolf Venom." More shouting. More chaos. Someone lifted me. Carried me away from the banquet hall. The world spun. Blurred.

There was just something about him I couldn't pinpoint. Something scary. Something magnetic. Did I see him somewhere before? He is a Victor.... Did I see him on TV? Or maybe I was not a weak person, but, his look screamed crazy. I let out a shuddered breath that I didn't realize I was holding. There was just something about how he looked at me. It was, as if, he wanted to burn everything down. It made me suspect that he was one of those men. The men who liked to watch the world burn.

"And we've made some... interesting discoveries." I felt a chill run down my spine. What did Victor mean? What discoveries had they made? And then I saw it. Victor's eyes seemed to be... glowing. A faint, eerie glow that seemed to be coming from within. My heart sank. The Shadow Fang Pack had access to the Venom. And they had already begun to use it. But how?

"Get the treatment started, the best there is, I'm calling the shots here!" Once he hung up, his eyes darted to mine, a flicker of guilt betraying him. "Wren's taken a turn for the worse. She needs this special serum to kick her immune system into gear, and the one you've been waiting on just got here. Give it to her!" I could not help but scoff, my words deliberate and biting. "Is she even worth it?" That serum was worth a fortune. It was not something just anyone could buy. It had been reserved for my granddad five years ago, and I had called in more than a few favors to secure it.

Venom said, his voice firm. “Good. Because your next job is to get every piece of dirt on this guy. I don’t care how you do it, but I want answers. And, Venom?” I leaned forward, my voice dropping to a deadly calm. “Don’t let your feelings get in the way. If you go soft because you’re too busy playing white knight, I’ll handle it myself. And you won’t like my methods.” Venom nodded, his expression unreadable. I leaned back, finally taking another sip of vodka. Out of the corner of my eye, I caught Victoria watching me with a small, knowing smile.

He was feeding me his venom, pumping it directly into my bloodstream, marking me from the inside out. "You're ours in every single reality, Princess," Ronan groaned, his voice ragged as he bit down brutally on my shoulder. His venom joined Vane's, mixing together in my bloodstream, and the sensation was so overwhelming that I felt tears streaming down my cheeks. "In every universe, in every timeline, you are ours. Ours. Ours. OURS."

Victor growled. The woman frowned. "I can’t help you. But I know someone who can though the price won’t be cheap. You’ll have to do exactly as she says." "I’ll do anything," Victor said darkly. "All I want is to destroy that arrogant bloodsucker." Anger flared through him, veins bulging across his arms and temples. The witch smirked and led him to a hidden basement. In its center sat a basin filled with glowing ocean-blue water. Victor narrowed his eyes. "What is this?"
