After doing much research in the library, I’ve come across quite a few readings that explained that witches and wizards can have mates and it wasn’t unusual for them to mate another species. I looked down at Harley, finally pulling my gaze away from Sarah for a moment and I told Harley to get Anila out of there. I knew, even if he wasn’t in control of his bear, that he would listen to me. If it meant protecting Anila, I did not doubt in my mind that Harley and his bear would do anything necessary. Once they were out of sight, I turned my attention back to Sarah. “What the hell is wrong with you?” I asked through my teeth, unable to keep my cool any longer.

Enchantress turned back to me and her transformation still surprises me even if I have seen this before. “I am sorry America, but the waters does not know where Harry is. They said Harry has not been going to the waters for quite a while now.”

The fire burns hungrily, and at the peak of it where I feel I cannot take it anymore, I grab the potion in front of me, and gulp it down. Like water, it cools my entire body, alerting me to the actualization that a transformation has just happened, and nobody out there is prepared for what has just been unlocked in me. I stand up from the circle and walk over to the full-length mirror in my room to behold the beautiful transformation. My hair is longer and darker, my eyes are now a piercing ocean blue.

I'm reading Harry Potter on the couch, at Ana's insistence. Despite my first impressions of the book, mainly that it seemed geared toward children and not me, Harry Potter is turning out to be a very interesting read. I can't really relate to the main character missing his parents, but I can relate to his dislike for his living family members and his joy at leaving them behind and making new, unexpected friends. Sensing that it must be late, I check the time and see that it's 11:30, much later than Ana is usually out in the living room. I glance over at the table to see her head nodding at the same tempo as the foot-tapping. She is still intent on the Glock. I wonder if she realizes how late

It’s dangerous yet I find myself wanting those captivating eyes to never look away. It frightens me to my core and I panic. “My real name is Harry and I come from a hidden world known as Hogwarts. My grandmother is Gandalf.” I sound stupid, I’m so stupid. The fumbling words leave my mouth before I can control them. I expect confusion from him, or maybe he’d look at me like I am some weirdo, but…he laughs. He laughs out freely. The laughter stems deep from within him, rich with real cheerfulness. As always, I’m entranced by it. The wind picks up the sound fast, playing it in the air.

"What am I going to do? I can't go around like this. I'm supposed to be Sly's Luna? How can I pretend to be a wolf when I look like...like...." Hazel squeezes me from behind, her eyes dancing with light. “Watch this,” she points towards our reflections. While my appearance remains supernaturally bright, hers dims slowly, her hair taking a more tawny color, her eyes returning to a more basic hazel instead of burning pools of honeyed light. Soon the transformation is perfect and Hazel is just…Hazel. "You can do this too," look, I'll show you."

Harry looks panicked as his eyes move back and forth between us, not sure if he should protect my secret or reveal the truth to Archer. A scream rips from my lips as I feel the change beginning to take form as my hands are starting to rearrange themselves to shift into paws and I squeak out, “Tell him.” Before Archer has a chance to ask anything, Harry rushes out, “She’s shifting.”

His words echo. I shake my head and try to get to my feet. "They used a blocking spell on him. It will take a while for him to pull himself together. He is drunk on the magic they used," Libby says. Alpha Mayhem shakes me. "Stop, that will not help, Alpha," Mother Agnes says. "Help me to my feet, please," I ask Alpha Mayhem. I am so weak. I cannot stand it. Alpha Mayhem pulls me to my feet, but my knees buckle. Alpha Mayhem leads me over to a chair in the kitchen.
