Like Harold's last religious studies class a week ago, he was one of the first set of students to leave the lecture room. Today was the day I had to attend the school that teaches about all this supernatural stuff. I wasn't thrilled about going to school since I came here to spend my holiday relaxing, not to stress myself with all this stuff. However, I couldn't help but feel curious and excited to learn more about it. I don't even know why I'm feeling this way. Going to a new school, being the only student without powers, it was going to be awkward. "I wonder how I'm going to cope there?" I let out a disappointed sigh, staring at my reflection.

He whispered next to my ear, giving a warning tone. "You take that back!" Seth snarled with disbelief. "Harry Potter is one of the most franchised fantasy novels turn two awesome films of the century." "Yeah, but why would a wizard who can't fight in combat only with a glow-in-the-dark stick cast magic when you can have a hunky werewolf or a very seductive vampire." I heard a low growl behind me as Logan stuck his gun on my rear. That is no gun. "Logan, please make your girl stop."

He must know for sure now that she was lying. “It has your name in it. It is yours, right?” She nodded, surveying it. It was all there. She had forgotten about it. “There were some loose pages. I gathered them all up and put them back in. I hope I got them all,” he said. “You did,” she said softly, touched, embarrassed. “I followed the trail of pages, and the funny thing is….they lead me down the alley.” She continued to look down at the book, refusing to make eye contact.

Erik, then, continued. "So, Mr. Potter, can you, please, tell us in your words what happened that took your friends and you into that little adventure?" Erik then waited patiently for the boy to start his tale. Mr. Potter managed to calm down, then took a deep breath and asked. "From the beginning?" "From the beginning." Erik replied to the boy, who took another deep breath and started to talk. I muttered, opening the first page. I needed to start working on myself so that I could erase all thoughts of Xavier’s sister from his memory. On the first page of the book was a table of content, showing all that was to be found in the book. I scrolled down from the introduction and jumped to “Casting your first spell.” I traced my finger on the dotted lines and found the page number. I opened the book and when I got to this page, I stopped. The name of the contact was boldly written in capital letters and it took the whole page. Opening to the next page, I found it’s content.

"One night, I couldn't take it anymore. I ran. I shifted into my wolf form—the first time I had ever shifted fully—and I ran into the forest." "Where did you go?" "Nowhere. Everywhere. I ran until I couldn't run anymore. And then I collapsed." He looked at me. "And then I found you." The memory returned in fragments: A hollow tree. A crying girl. A boy with honey-colored hair and eyes like storms. "Hey. It's okay. I'm not going to hurt you." "Go away." "I can't. You're hurt." "Everyone hurts me." "I won't."

Dark blood seeps through his pale skin. I kneel quickly beside him, trembling so hard I can barely hold myself steady. The spell in my hand has changed—it’s written in clear, concise English now. The words shimmer like pure firelight, and though they are heavy, ugly, rooted in the dark, they feel fiercely alive and necessary. I take a single, deep breath and start reading, my voice surprisingly strong despite the shaking. “From ash to bone, from blood to breath, Tear the veil and defy death..."

Mr Collins instructs after he's finished his angry typing. “Reading what?” I ask. “That,” he points to a book that's on the couch where Theo had been sitting moments before. “What the…” I start to ask, then shake my head, “Right away, Professor Dumbledor,” I snark, picking up the book as he leaves the office. The book looks like a modern school textbook, but the title, ‘The Spark’ has me turning to the first page eagerly to finally get some freaking answers!

Soon enough, she picked up a pen and scribbled his name under. Lord Xandros. Yep. It was equal now. She giggled and dropped the pen, walking towards the shelf. Her eyes fell on the book. Diary of the witches. She picked it up out of curiosity and opened the first page . "The witch's heart is a secret, one locked behind shadows. The first spell is born of blood– Ah!" Her finger swiped through the sharp edge of the book and it cut her, a little blood forming on the top. Anna clicked her tongue as she cleaned the blood off and continued reading.
