I felt satisfied with what I was holding and took it out of the closet with me so I could wear it for dinner. After I was done picking out my outfit I decided to go back to the black book that my teacher gave me and try to see if I could teach myself a spell. I held the book in my hand for a few seconds before finally opening it. I could feel a small smile on my face when the book opened easily. When I looked inside the book I saw that there was one spell on the first page of the book. I could feel a frown replace the smile on my face. I couldn’t understand why the spell Shadow was the first thing I had to learn. What does it even do?

I then launch myself at each one, kicking at their ankles and elbowing them in the ribs. They can’t quite get over the shock of my appearance and without fighting back they turn and run, leaving me alone with the boy. I watch them go with my back to the boy and my hands on my hips, to be sure that they don’t change their minds and come back, and then I turn to speak to the boy. “It’s okay now they’re gone, your safe.” I make sure to smile as I hold my hand out to him. “My name is Lilli, what’s yours?”

Daniel’s shower is quick, yet I find myself struggling to keep my eyes open. It’s only 10:00 but I hardly got any sleep last night. I know Daniel didn’t either.

The real Bella. I immediately recognized that familiar looking book. I saw it among Bella's book collection when I first came into this world. It stood out due to its large size. But I had never opened it before. The title of that book was 'The Darkest Art.' I mean, even the title was suspicious. So what do you expect me to do? Call me silly, but I learned from 'Harry Potter' not to open any suspicious looking book. Who knows what's inside? Considering Bella's character, it could be housing the soul of a random dark lord for all I know. So, of course I didn't want to take the risk.

“You know, like in Harry Potter? What Voldemort did.” “Never read it,” I said. Maurice’s mouth fell open, and his glasses slid right down to the tip of his nose. Claire leaned out from his other side. “You never read Harry Potter? Any of them?” “No. Well, I tried the first one. Thought it was long-winded and poorly written.” They were both staring me down. "This book also filmed a movie." Jessie excitedly explained to him. When she saw him close the book, she bent over to get it. Alex handed the book to her but did not let go.
