The Dragon's Chubby Treasure Chapter 37: Monster in the House The room fell into complete silence for one terrifying second. Draven stood in the shattered doorway like a nightmare come to life. Blood dripped from his claws onto the wooden floor. His red eyes burned with fury and dark hunger as they locked onto me. His partially scaled body was massive, towering over everyone in the small house. Leia uttered as she held Alice's arm tightly. "What? I can't hear you!" Alice shouted as she covered her ears slightly. "I said, we could still leave this place!" "You know we can't!" Alice's face scrunched as she swam through the sea of sweaty people. She could smell the strong aroma of alcohol, sweat, and vomit present in the warm, disgusting air. "Leia! Alice! There you are!" They finally found Yu. He was wearing a silvery white wig (which Alice thought does not fit Yu) and a robe that had a Slytherin logo branded on his left chest. As the realization that this massive dragon was most likely Murdok Rori grabbed onto the claw still holding her, and she opened her mouth to speak when the sound of Henry’s laughter pulled her attention away. The book was now floating above his hand and as he chanted Rori watched as translucent, almost glowing bones formed into an armor around him and Rori gasped. Henry pointed his hand toward the massive dragon and a zap of lightning shot from his palm straight into the shoulder of the dragon, causing Murdok to scream in pain, but he did not loosen his grasp on Rori. His hands were freezing like of the dead. I keep screaming until I saw myself in another place again. This time I was in the middle of the jungle. My visions scattered the area and I saw a cute white little dragon, just hatched from its egg. The dragon was alone and it was whining on the ground. I thought dragons aren't real but here it is, I saw it in my bare eyes. I got up from the ground and went to the little creature. "Oh, poor thing. What happened to you? Who abandons you here?" I was about to put him in my arms when his fangs came out and about to bit me but I quickly toss it away from me.

Clothing shredded and roses exploded into petals as the dragon’s wings and tail whipped wildly, before a snort shrivelled the lawn into ash sending a strong scent of burnt hay into the air. “Shit!” Harry gaped open-mouthed as the dragon took full form. Strong clawed feet sank into the soil as his long tail rasped scale against the stone walls, and wings spreading, hooking on the veranda over the doorway, lifting tile and splintering wood. The dragon was a deep, dark green, with hard horned scales that darkened to black at the edges. “Well, I guess we know who your daddy is,” Harry commented. “He’s not as cute and cuddly as you, my love,” they added, putting their arm around Jules’ shoulders.

Not powers, just their abilities all dragons possess. They can bond themselves to someone who is dying, it allows them to live but if the dragon dies so does the person they saved, if that person dies so does the dragon. Why didn’t it register to me?
