“She’s right,” he said, his voice toneless. Matter-of-fact.
“Orhan, no, she’s not—”
“It’s genetics,” he cut me off, his gaze dropping back to the scuff on the floor. He gave it another kick. “I have his facial bone structure. His hair. The eye color is dominant from Mom side, but the shape… it’s his.” He spoke like he was reciting a lab report. “Behavioral predispositions can be inherited. Lack of affective empathy. High cognitive function paired with antisocial tendencies... I’ve watched the tapes.”
