But what she didn’t know was that I could see right through her. “Liar!” I growled, every muscle in my face twitching with fury. I pulled out my favorite torture weapon from my pocket: the tri-edged knife. A wound from this knife was almost impossible to heal because of how it was shaped. Her eyes widened in horror when I twirled the knife between my fingers. “I am sure you know what this is, and what it does,” I said menacingly. I took a step closer to her and leaned in. Before I could say or do anything, she let out a sharp, piercing scream.

“But you are central.” The ground pulsed. Plot Thirteen brightened. “You carry synthesis,” Inferno said. “The ability to harmonize blood, magic, and will. Healers of old required circles. You are becoming one.” The words were too big. I shook my head slightly. “What if I fail?” Inferno’s gaze softened. Ancient, deadly and protective.

I roll my eyes and elbow Bellamy in the ribs. “Sure.” Harry answers, waving around his right hand which is still clutching what I can now see is a shiny glass bottle full of something purple. “Incubi delivery service. Where we always deliver the whole package.” He says with a wink. I groan. “That was terrible Harry.” I complain. “I could try another one. You would be surprised how many lines I can come up with using the word ‘package.’ Harry offers. “Please don’t” Bellamy says dryly.
