“Oh my god! You got me the Harry Potter Series!” I rushed to the bookshelf and grabbed a copy of ‘Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire’. It was the only book I had read in the series and I had fallen in love with it. I had promised myself that I would buy more but I never got the money. “Yeah, girl,” she said smugly, “and I got you some others you might like…” I saw the other books and my jaw dropped. It was almost all the books on my reading wish list.

Inside it is more sketchbooks but these look old and worn out compared to the ones in the drawer. I reach for the top one and flip to the first page even as Lorenzo tries to stop me. Just as I suspected, the sketchbook is filled with drawings of me naked but unlike the other ones, this one contains drawings of when I was younger. "Celestine, I'm sorry." He grabs my hands and the sketchbook falls to the ground. "I know it's sick. I know you have every right to go running for the hills while screaming bloody murder and I won't blame you if you do because-"

He looked and saw shapeless packages that could contain anything rather than the items contained, except for the uppermost item, and it was a book. He picked it up and opened it, to find within sketches such as a student artist would make – of flowers, buildings, landscape, animals. As the pages turned, the drawings became more skilled, and began to feature people that he knew. He smiled as he saw Sigrid, her face pulled into a scowl. The next page had him sucking in a breath. It was Gera and Thaelen, seen from a distance. Gera had his hands on Thaelen’s hips as he laughed up at him, and the expression on his face…

He drops his gaze to the books beside me, I take them in my lap, jerking my hair out his hands. I go through the pages and most of the answers are okay, just not excellently described. I close the books and set them aside, picking up my sketch to add more detail to the daisy considering it's the only part of the drawing that I have full confidence is art, the rest of the drawing? I think it will earn me an A- as usual. Wait, what if the snake shades it's skin as it slithers through the skull like the daisy shaded it's petals?

“This sketchbook feels like a story. It seems like there’s Claudine commented. “Yeah, look at these images, it’s like they are telling something. Harry is in it a lot, that’s for sure. You have to show this to him because maybe he knows something about these images that you don’t.” May says. “What?” I gaped. “What would I even say? And how would I say it?” “Simple. You drew him and devoted an entire sketchbook of him.” Claudine answers casually. “No. I cannot say that to him. He would think I’m a weirdo.” I replied.

“I’ve been thinking about colors and bookshelves, and whether the dog will sleep at the foot of the crib or on the couch forever. Also — more important — I sketched a few stupid things.” My laugh turned into a gasp when he reached behind him and produced a small, coffee-stained sketchbook. Pages flipped open with the kind of reverence people reserve for heirlooms. I had seen him in boardrooms, seen him move numbers like a musician; I had not seen him lay a pencil across a page like this, tender and ridiculous and almost unbearably honest.

The hug was short and brief but it gave Akira the strength she needed to push just a little bit further. They walked around till Orion paused at the fantasy section of the library, the children's section to be precise. “Eureka!” He exclaimed. Akira chuckled at his childlike expression, “what are we doing here?” “Does this look familiar?” He asked. She looked closely at the book and smiled, “Harry Potter?” She asked in surprise. “Yes my darling, I believe that there's a creature in this book that might have a hand in Mirabel's petrification.” Akira scoffed, “I doubt the basilisk would want to have anything to do with her.”

But her excitement and conviction made me believe that it was real. "Wait, so there are actually people with magical powers?" I asked, trying to wrap my head around this new information. "Yes, and it's not just limited to humans. There are also fantastic creatures like dragons, unicorns, and even talking paintings," She replied, her eyes sparkling with wonder. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. It sounded like a world full of endless possibilities and adventure. "And the best part is, Harry Potter, the famous wizard, goes to Hogwarts too. He's the chosen one, destined to defeat the dark wizard, Lord Voldemort," Renee continued, her voice filled with excitement.

I straddled him to deepen the kiss when we heard a whistle behind us. “If I had known you guys would give this kind of show, I would’ve brought popcorn.” I broke away to see George and Harry walking towards them. I jumped up to greet them, pulling them both into a hug. “What are you guys doing here?!” “You think we’ll leave you going against a crazy witch without our help. Besides, I have never seen a grimoire up close before,” Harry said with a sparkle in his eye. I looked at George, who rolled his eyes as Harry gushed about the books Mirja let him keep.

Another—just a stapler, some paperclips, and a half-empty box of sticky notes. I turned to leave, but something on his desk caught my eye. A sketchbook. It was thick, with a plain black cover, lying half-open as if it had been abandoned mid-use. My fingers hovered above it. I shouldn’t. This wasn’t mine. But curiosity pressed harder than caution. I flipped it open. The first page held faint pencil lines of trees and shadows, rough but confident. The next—a figure leaning over a railing, faceless but alive with motion. I turned another page.
