I skimmed through the book, my gaze falling on a spell that seemed simple enough - a basic levitation spell. I read the incantation aloud, my voice low and uncertain, focusing on the book in my hands. Nothing happened. The book remained stubbornly in my grasp, as ordinary and grounded as ever. Frustration bubbled up, and I tried again, this time louder, more forceful. Still, nothing. I tried again and again, with no success.

On the night of July 10 to 11, specifically at 11:30 am, my rite of passage began. Every young sorceress and wizard who turned 18 had to go through it. This ritual made you an official member of the magic community, and your power was fully released, giving you much more opportunities than before. The mother prepared a magic potion for her child that was to help with waking up the power completely, then the child had to lie down in a circle drawn or made of herbs and chant the spell with a mother until the power was released in the form of the white light surrounding the child.

He flops on my bed, I notice him move his pinky and thumb, my spellbook makes its way to my bed and Malcom's blue mist disappears. As he goes to the back page, I jump quickly onto the bed, my fingers inches away from grasping the book. He lifts it and an evil smirk makes its way up to his lips. Oh shit. "Aellero.."Speed spell ...I don't know how to break it, I knew I should have gone to Charles during winter break. After a few minutes, I was panting like a dog with my book still moving in the air. I give it up and drink some water, the book falls on his lap, and I give in knowing there's not much to hide either way.

Elsa made her way down the dark and silent corridor. Maria gave her detailed instructions on how to find Mervin’s suite of rooms. Since he was new in residence, Maria wasn’t able to provide much information on the wizard, but from what she did say Elsa got the impression the wizard was more learned in alchemy than he was in spirits and spells. She hoped this was the case. Her body ached with each step she took. She longed to find an easy chair somewhere and take a much needed nap.

After parting the curtain a little in an unnoticeable manner, Harry peeped to see if he could recognise anyone. At first, all he could see were three teenage boys in a hoodie. Later when he began to pick words from the conversation, he realised there was only a masculine in the trio; the others appeared to be feminine. This was vindicated when one pulled her hoodie off her head, and shaked her hair. It was a short bub, and Harry couldn't remember where he'd seen this person, but he was sure the face was familiar — he just couldn't place it right.

“I probably need more time than a day to memorize this before I can study another spell.” “Well, just in case you can master the spell in a short time, Joseph rose from his chair, took the book from the shelf and next gave it to Jeremiah.” It was a thick book that consisted of a hundred or more pages. “What is this book, Archbishop?” Jeremiah asked curiously while receiving the book. “It's the purification spell level-3.” the old man informed. “What, don't tell me I must memorize all the words inside the book precisely?” “Exactly,” Joseph replied with a warm smile.

Vraxlon began to be covered by the liquid as well. All the occupants of the room agitated, not knowing if they ran to try to remedy the damage of the books, or if they used their own magic against the liquid that was spreading. A very strange energy was filling the air, coming from that supernatural wind that still whipped my hair. The infernal magic that contained all the powers of the book had been destroyed, and now spread through the walls of the castle, coming out through the hole caused by the three-headed dog who was still waiting patiently on my back, certainly crazy to eat someone else.

I have enough money for my bus ride and to give him too. I dropped my fare and went to an isolated corner of the bus, to dwell on my thoughts. I won't hurt my sister, even if she has done a lot to me and also, I can't hurt my mate, Axel. I will tell him to give me a Potion that wont hurt anybody… I really hope he has such. Getting off at the last bus stop, just a few minutes walk from the border of the pack. I began the long trek to the cottage where the wizard lived. I was about turning back when I saw the roof of the abandoned house, I'm not so sure if he will have a potion that won't hurt anyone but I wouldn't know if I don't try?

So there must be more than one layer then… Ugh… it hurts my brain just trying to dissect it all. Nevertheless, the main primary target still remains ensuring that Harper passes the maid selection competition. That much I know of. Just then, Harper notices my silence, and stares at me with a questioning gaze. But I confidently smirk instead. Tossing her the booklet of magic spells that I had obtained from the old wizard. I watch her expression shift into excitement. She shimmies closer to the book with an adorable amount of joy. Clearly happy about what I’ve given her. She flicks through the pages, admiring the different spells, before shutting it and pressing it closely to her chest and than
