Chapter 04. A JOURNEY BACK HOME. Daphne's POV. I gasped, breathing heavily. I glanced at my hands, and then to the clothes I was putting on. There were a few bruises on my hands, and blood stains on the brown knee-length jacket that I was putting on. I blinked my eyes rapidly in confusing as I stared at my palms, something wasn't right. As I turned to the side mirror, my heart sank. I was seeing a different face on the side mirror: purple hair, brown eyes, and a nose ring.

Harry asks. "No." I just want to get through tonight without crying, I thought. "Ok." He says this giving me this strange look. We stand near the wall. I pretend to look interested in the party while actually watching Maverick and Riley. They're dancing now. Well, grinding is more accurate. His hands are on her hips and her arms are around his neck. I look away. "How long are you going to do this?" Harry asks. "Do what?" "Stand here watching him with her and pretending you're okay."

She hugs Harry. "Ryn, wow...You've grown a lot." Harry compliments her. A/N: Ryn is one of the girls harry got intimate with during high school. "Thanks but that's all the lord's doing. Here, have some drink." She stretches it to him. "Oh, thanks." Harry drinks the wine, feeling a little dizzy. "I'm feeling a little dizzy. Can you take me to the bathroom please?" "Sure." She put her hand around his waist, his left hand around her neck, walking to sickbay.

She had blocked her mind Immediately the transformation was completed. "Save it." Few minutes later saw Daphne bouncing over the fallen trees and dry shrubs with Marcel's body trailing behind her. A rope attached to the body bag clutched in between her dangerous teeths. Any more father and she will be on the path to the airport. "You should go and apologize to Liam. He is waiting for you." "And since when were you an adviser on vampires?" Daphne asked, her mind in a calculative mode. She wasn't exactly going to fly herself to the outside city. How will she get past security?

I heard him say and cocked a brow, surely the cruel king did not just try to make a joke. A rather obvious one at that. My lips quivered as I fought against the urge to laugh at his humor, his gaze softened and before I knew it, he was lowering his lips to meet mine. Only this time, before he crashed them on mine he said something completely mortifying. "Be with me forever...my Daphne." He declared then pressed his lips on mine, seizing them in another passionate exchange. Only this time my body wasn't frozen in fear, but in complete shock! Simply because he had moaned the name, Daphne. But my name was Heather!

Harper wiped a tear from her own face and hugged me tightly. “Why are you crying, silly girl?” I asked softly. “I’m so happy, Daphne,” she said, her voice catching. “You’ve gone through so much in this pack. You’ve been pushed down, judged, almost lost everything, and now…” she trailed off, overwhelmed with emotion. She held me closer. “I’ve always been your number one fan, Daphne. I always will be,” she whispered. I laughed softly and hugged her back. “I know, Harper. You’re my second love after Theo, obviously,” I teased, making her giggle. The other ladies laughed along, and for a moment, the tension in the room eased.

I replied, just then, Daphne walked down the staircase and towards us. “Oh Wow, you’re here, Hi Harper,” she greeted with a tight lipped smile, I won’t lie that I wasn’t surprised, she didn’t pass to me as someone who could actually smile, but I guess I probably didn’t just get to know her outside of work setting. “Hi Daphne,” I greeted in reply with a small smile also and we all settled down around the dinning to eat, Damon finally let go of my hands, pulled out a chair for me and made me sit before pushing it back in a little, through the corner of my eyes I could see his mother and sister exchange suspicious glances but it would be so weird to look at them. Then, at that point, Harry took her to their study hall, Fanky was astounded to see both of them clasping hands. "Stand by, what does that mean, are you dating?" Fanky guaranteed while grinning." Harry answered, "Yes!" grinning Harry said. "Amazing, congratulations!" said Fanky. "Much obliged! Okay, I'll simply pass by later at break time." Goodbye Harry. "Ok, OK." Arosh gestured. Harry immediately kissed her on the cheek, before at last leaving. "How sweet promptly in the first part of the day I was chomped by the subterranean insects now." Fanky prods.

*** Max POV*** Sasha led me along the bleak road when suddenly another portal opened up. "Guess we're here." Sasha smiled. "Text me when your done and I'll come get you. Not a word to Danny. " She added pushing me through the portal. I stood up and brushed off my jeans peering around I appeared to be on a dirt trail at the edge of the forest outside what appeared to be a late night bar. Music was loudly pumping from the bar. Something told me Daphne was in the bar and I let my instincts lead me. I entered the bar and made my way toward the bar, having gotten myself a beer I scanned the dance floor and my eyes settled on Daphne. She was dressed in a tight pink dress that was backless and expo

Her eyes opened wide, as if she were in a trance, compelled to divulge the well-guarded secrets she had hidden deep within. "I've always longed for Ragnar to be mine," Daphne's voice trembled as the truth spilled out. "My world crumbled when he introduced a witch as his mate. At first, he told me it was merely for procreation, and I reluctantly accepted. But my heartache deepened when he began developing genuine feelings for her. Despite his past history with witches, his newfound connection with her grew stronger, and I felt cast aside."
