Hawk Eye Mihawk Bounty Novels & Stories

The old fox was out there, scheming. Mara nodded, but hesitated. "One more thing. Kira's clean—background checks out. Shadowclaw's been hit hard by Hanlon too; lost territory in the east. Viktor's legit, from what I dug up. But... there's chatter on dark web channels. Bounties on your head, Alpha. And the heir's." The words hit like a gut punch. Alexander—a bounty? My growl rumbled low, instinctive, protective. Ava stirred but didn't wake. "Who posted them?"

The moment she was spared, which he'd be glad to give her, she'll beeline to recovery chambers. He missed Mikhail more than he could express. "Who do you think is behind the ambush?" They hadn't seen it coming. None of them. "Smart enough to shut out defenses first." That held the powerful truth. "A group of mercenaries? Like Black Hawks?" Black Hawks were famously known and doubly cruel. They had blown up entire villages for the right amount. So when Evan asked this question, everyone stilled. If Black Hawks were involved, humans were involved. The group consisted of both humans and the wolves and the cats.

But I didn’t. Hawk unwrapped his arm from around me and splayed his fingers. Tiny sparkling blue lights flickered around him. Like dozens of blue lightening bugs. I looked up to verify the glow wasn’t reaching the tree-tops. It’s too dim. We’re safe. He knows what he’s doing. I reminded myself. Warfare, hunting and being hunted are not new things for him. And for a second, I let myself guess how many mages he’d hunted down himself. How many families he may’ve participated in destroying?

“I need the Package 1465’s account status.” Every target’s name passed through the Black Market’s operator always coded down to make it easier. Those codes would be sent out using messages or dealers. From the dealers, they arranged the contracts to whoever willing to take it. If more than one bounty hunter took the contract, well, they could just kill each other. Whoever survived would claim the prize. Sometimes, even the prize for killing the bounty hunters. Mira never heard a bounty hunter without a price on their head. Every bounty hunter had a price on their head. Every contract was a competition. Bounty hunters killed each other more than the completed contracts. “Hold on a minute, ple

I opened my mouth, fully prepared to rant about Anthony and his never-ending cryptic missions, but Alexandra beat me to it. “So wait… this Ravager,” he said slowly. “You think it’s the same one he hunted back then?” “Yeah, maybe,” Will muttered, shutting the trunk with a loud thud. Alexandra followed him around the car. “If he hunted it… why is it still alive?” He had a point. Anthony Hawkins might’ve been a lot of things, but sloppy wasn’t one of them. This was the first time I’d ever heard of him failing to finish a hunt.

Kim asked. One of the bikers turned and locked the door. "You see, we don't take kindly to those who refuse our women services!" Red Mohawk retorted. "I, I'm sorry. Tell her to come back and I'll give her a free service on the house." Gail stuttered. Kim snorted. "You don't believe her red?" Mohawk asked. "Look, I'm just here to pick up my last paycheck. I don't want any trouble. I have no problem with you guys." Kim replied.

"The Crimson Phoenix Clan bounty on you is still active, by the way. Two hundred gold. Someone matched it last month. Four hundred total now." I stop eating. "Who matched it?" "Unknown party. Filed through a broker in the Azure Dragon capital." He eats another bite. "My clan's network picked it up. I thought you should know." "Why tell me?" He sets his chopsticks down. Looks at me directly. "Because you yielded correctly in the ruin, freed the guardian's assessment without fighting it, and every time someone else would have run you went forward." He picks his chopsticks back up. "I respect that. So I tell you things."

A moment later, a guy named Hawk Montana was shoved into the room with such force that he tripped over his own feet and ended up sprawled out in front of me. How fucking fitting. When he tried to get up, I shoved my three-thousand-dollar Italian loafer between his shoulder blades and pushed him back down. I didn’t think the guy would have been inclined to stay if it weren’t for the sound of Dagger shoving a magazine into his new toy—a Heckler & Koch MP5K— before hovering the loud and fatal end over Hawk’s head. “Where’s my money?” I asked in a bored drawl. I had better fucking things to do with my time.

Hawk's heart was pounding in his chest, and his feelings told him to be careful as he got out of the car and looked at the three people in front of him. "What's going on?" Hawk's voice held a mixture of anger and trepidation. "David, explain!" David's smirk was infuriating; a flash of his father's stubborn spirit was mirrored in his eyes. "Sorry, Dad, but it's time you owned up to your mistakes." Hawk's growl erupted, his rage threatening to consume him, but he was frozen in place as Cayden's voice cut through the tension, cold and unyielding. "Hawk, you're under arrest for your crimes against the werewolf kind and for endangering the balance."
