"That same Hana?" I asked, frowning.
"Yes," Cara said, a sly look on her face. "She's celebrating her eighteenth birthday tomorrow evening. And she wants you to be there."
"Really?" The word came out before I could stop it.
"Not really," Cara admitted with a shrug. "But I overheard one of her friends saying she hopes you come. She talks about you a lot."
"Not interested," I said firmly, turning back to the fridge. The missing beer bugged me. "Cara, seriously, where is the last beer? It's not in here."
